Awesome fight between two underrated fighters, that seem to always make a single mistake and come up short in big fights.
I'll give the edge to Pellegrino. He as all the tools that make this a difficult fight for Guida. Good submissions, good standup, and good wrestling.
Pellegrino should be able to punish Guida on the feet and be active enough off his back to keep Guida on the defensive maybe throwing an occasional hammerfist here and there.
I think this fight will look a lot like Guida's fight with Tyson Griffin. Really close fight, Guida getting battered attempting takedowns, but this time he's getting knocked out. Guida's first TKO loss.

guida by ud, i think he weathers the storm of diaz subs. guy is relentless.
EDIT: that would be a good analysis if he were actually fighting diaz. i may take pellegrino is this one because he is equally as strong as clay and has better subs and striking.

I disagree, Pellegrino is a tough fight for anyone in the octagon as he is a tripple threat. I agree with wolfenstien that this could very likely be Guida's first TKO loss

Pellegrino is a real good fighter but Guida has beat Danzig, Marcus Aurelio, and Samy Schiavo. He was so close in both the Roger Huerta and Tyson Griffin fights. Pellegrino's biggest win was over Thiago Tavares His other 2 big fights were with Joe daddy and Diaz which he lost. He was doing well with but got subed by Diaz. I like the guy but I don't think he will last with Guida.

Well i can't help but agree with you here. Except for the last bit. I was surprised by the match-up myself because i also thought Guida was higher on the ladder the Kurt. I think that Kurt has a good shot to beat Clay with either a TKO or a Submission. Both have had tough fights, both have shown tremendous heart, skill, and chins. This should be a really awesome fight either way.

Ha ha that is was, I'm just not the type to bring it up.
This is a step down for Guida, Pellegrino is no slouch anywhere but Guida is just one, maybe two big wins from being at the top of the lightweight division (top ten I dont mean the belt)
I think Guida will outlast him plain and simple, he WONT get KO'ed, even if he did he is such a freak that his body would continue to function kinda like a chicken with its head cut off.
Holy shit what am I talking about?? Ha ha sorry guys.....night shifts get to me.

I think it will be an awesome fight that will end up coming down to the takedowns. In which case Pellegrino is the better wrestler so I'll have to give this to him...UD

This is a much Bigger step up for Guida, Pelligrino would Tear Danzig up with Ground and Pound, But I'm still picking Guida via Unanimous Decision. But there is a chance that Kurt could hurt Guida on the Feet and then Finish him with Ground and Pound.
