I have a feeling Mir could win this... its a fight i really want to see, you rarely see 2 top notch ground guys in HW go at each other

Nog, pretty easily. Mir's greatest advantage is always his JJ superiority, this time he's at the disadvantage there. He doesn't have the standup to ko or dominate Nog and he has the disadvantage on the ground. Considering his record beating Brock in a min by a leglock shouldn't have gotten him the title match.

Honestly I think we are going to see one hell of a ground war for at least the first 2 maybe 3 rounds and then Nog drops Mir with a solid combo and finishes Mir by TKO strikes.
I really want Nog to win this fight and believe that he will. t would be quite the story however if Mir can pull off the unthinkable.

Nog has never been submitted or knocked out and I don't see Mir being the first to do so. Which leaves Mir's only avenue of victory a decision. I just can't envision Mir hlding Nog down or outstriking him. Unfortunately Mir's fuel tank has been runninglow and he is tpically down to funes by the middle of the second round.
From the top Nog is absolute dynamite. I think that's where this fight ends. Somewhere in the second when Mir is beginning to gas and it's easier for Nog to pass into side control and apply pressure.

mir has a disadvantage in almost every area except for physical strengths. i think in order for mir to win he has to make it a very boring fight, a little lay and pray. he won't win the standup battle because nogs hands are better, and nogs jiu jitsu is better. but if mir can keep top position for the majority of the fight he can win, that's his only chance because he isn't knocking nog out and i just don't see him pulling off a sub. passing his guard? maybe just maybe.

Mir's Biggest advantage has always been his ground game and nog's ground game is better. If he can pull a lay and pray he may get a SD but i think nog will tko him in the 3rd or 4th because mir's tank will be on low at that piont.

Nog will take it either by a late tko or a decision. Mir and Nog will cancel eachother out on the ground, so it will be determined by the standup and the conditioning which Nog has the advantage in both.

A fight between two top-notch submissions guys, outside the ADCC, is sometimes a boxing match. Nogueira in particular tends to play it that way (see Nogueira vs Werdum and Nogueira vs Barnett). Mir doesn't have great takedowns, but on the other hand, Nogueira doesn't have great takedown defense. Still, leaving Mir some deserved room to surprise me, I'm picking Nogueira by boxer's UD.

This should be a close one. I'm taking Nog. Mir could pull of a submission at some point but with a good ground game comes a good ground game defense and nog isn't too shaby on his feet.

Though surprising to some, I think we might see them keep it on the feet the entire time. After a while Mir may go for the takedown, but wont be able to get it. Nog UD.

mir is lucky to be facing nog period i think it will go down with nog out-boxing mir with a few stalemate ground encounters nog by lackluster ud (only because this fight will be a cancel-out style wise)

mir is gonna look for leg kicks. and hopefully not get taken down.
he has good kicks, and if he puts the rubber guard to use i think he expects to be on his back.
i think if he gets ahold of anything in the first round or two hes gonna put everything into it.

Nog takes this one by a 5 round domination. Mir isn't even the same league.
