Dutch heavyweight Alistair Overeem has dropped a hint that a move to UFC may be on the cards.
Speaking to Fighters Only earlier, Overeem was asked if he would like to fight for the organisation if the right deal could be struck.
"Of course. My management is working on some deals in the US right now," he replied.
"But I would like to add that I have been treated very well by Strikeforce," he added, referring to the Californian organisation whose heavyweight title he holds.
"There is nothing confirmed as of now about my next fight for Strikeforce, but there should soon be more information on this."
Overeem recently fought bitter rival Mirko CroCop at DREAM 6 in Japan, but the bout was declared a no-contest after several low blows from the Dutchman.
However, he is keen for a rematch and says that negotiations are currently taking place for a second fight on New Year's Eve.

I really hope he comes to the ufc they need new heavyweights, the only good Hw's in the organization are Couture, Lesnar, Werdum, Kongo, Mir, Nog, and maybe Lesnar in the future. Overeem in my opinion could hang with every single heavyweight in the UfC. he would be a great addition. I cant see wh the next ultimate fighter isnt for heavyweights seeeing as thats the divison with the least depth to it.

Overeem in the UFC is all I have wanted to see since Zuffa bought out Pride. I hope they make this happen sometime really soon. Overeem would be a serious asset to the heavyweight division in the UFC in my opinion.

There is only one lesnar in the ufc right But i do think the HW division needs more talent and Overeem would be a good addition.

I would love to see this. He is one of my favorite fighters, and my eyes the best in his weight class other than a select few. Overeem is the best he has looked EVER, and he will destroy whoever gets in his way.
Bring on the UFC.

I would love to see it happen. Overseem could be an instant contender and he's a guy who can really sell a fight. Alistair is an over-the-top trash-talking extrodinaire. He should be a fan favorite.
I don't know why the UFC hasn't made a push for this guy because he seems to have all the tools to not only be a champion, but be a popular fighter that can sell PPV's with the right marketing. If he can be more consistent.

He has fought at 205 but I like him as a HW. I don't think he handles the weight cut very well. I am with you guys. I hope this happens.

They aren't the ONLY good ones. Cain Velasquez has a bright future and Shane Carwin may prove to be a test for many at the top of the division. I would say that both of those guys would take care of Kongo. Also, eventhough he lost to Lesnar, Heath Herring did defeat Kongo earlier this year. Throw in Gonzaga who not that long ago was fighting for the belt and you have a nice division.
