So who would you of picked if we had the chance to pick this fight? I just figured seth would of kept kimbo at bay using kicks and scored a 3rd round tko once kimbos legs had been battered. Plus with it being short notice their was no way Kimbo could of prepared for all the weird kicks seth likes to throw. I know its easy to say id pick seth in hindsight, so no fibbers!!!

Also, i just watched shaws interview, when he was calling seth "rocky balboa" Is that guy serious? Any Pro with as much striking experience as seth should really be k.oing kimbo. Id think of it more a rocky story if kimbo won the fight.

EDIT - So i botched the poll, option number 2 should be a decision for slice.

Of course it'll sound like total B.S. but I would have definitely picked Petruzelli.

I remember when the thread first started about Shamrock being cut I saw that someone had said maybe they would put him in against Petruzelli. I started laughing when I heard that because, well.... look what DID happen.

Petruzelli isn't a coward, he isn't washed up, and he's got legitimate skills.

Ill admit that i would have picked Kimbo. One of my secrets for picking is never pick against the guys that EliteXC are trying to build up. They are generally very smart when they are trying to protect guys.

It would've depended on how long the fight went. If I knew it would be a decision I likely would've picked Kimbo as there would've been pressure on all sides to put him over. If I went with who I wanted to win and who I thought WOULD win definitely Seth, like Shamrock he was far more experienced than Kimbo and probably would win on the ground.

Seth 1st round TKO......

Use the fight finder and find out that most of seth wins have came via TKO or KO.... That means that this was Kimbo's first chance at fighting some one with power, I actually called the win after I found out about it in the spoilers forum

well considering i picked shamrock to pull off the upset, i would have for sure picked petruzelli. i even told the people watching it with me that Kimbo just got himself into trouble because this is going to be a much tougher fight than shamrock. however i will be honest and say that i probably wouldnt have picked 1st rd tko

It's a good strategy.

I would have done this as well. My reason would be that if they had picked Seth in advance then they would have considered him a can and had some reason to think that Bimbo could beat him. But when he was picked short notice I figured Seth could do it for sure.

Under that paticular situation, I gave it to Seth 60%-40%. If Kimbo had trained to fight Seth and had time to prepare for his style, I'd say Kimbo 80%-20%.

I was at the bar of a local pizza shop and everybody there was saying oh Kimbo's gonna win, blah blah hes awesome, one guy even said Kimbo's gonna be the greatest, lol. So I say fine I'm going with Seth, hes more established imo anyway and I'm there with a buddy and even hes like sorry dude I'm going with Kimbo, than 14 secs later I'm laughing in everybodys face for there comments and enjoyed that mma is taking a new direction for the better. No disrespect to Kimbo but I think his hype was hurting mma's legitimacy and further showed on national tv that "any given day" attitude, and hes 30lbs lighter so that was just freakin' awesome to see that happen like the pride days.
