In January, Franklin will square off against Henderson at 205, which I think will be an eplosive fight anywhere it goes. Even though Franklin looked good against Hammil's wrestling, Henderson's wrestling is perfected for mma and he mixes it up better. However, I think he will KO Franklin, because his chin isn't that good and Henderson's is the best around, never being KO'd in his career. I say Hendo via 1st round KO.

have to take hendo then, the guy is a much better fighter at 205 for some strange reason. not only does he win but he finishes rich off with his mean right hand.

i wonder why at 205, because i thought hendo wanted to get that rematch with A-silva, so im guessing if hendo wins this fight they will count it as a win and move closer to a title shot at 185?

thats interesting he does want the rematch but i think rich wants this at 205. but i have looked at this fight from as many angels as i can and i dont see rich being better in any area then hendo. i think it will be a good fight in all aspects but i have to give it to hendo

i have wanted to see this fight for a long time and they are both in my top 5 favorite fighters. its going to be a great fight!! i see Hendo winning. the only bad thing about this is that one of them is going to have to lose. they are both such class acts, they are both the type of guy you never want to see loose. But i can't wait for the fight

I really dont see why people love dans striking so much. All he does is load up that one big punch CONSTANTLY. Rich is a smart guy, he isnt going to be around when dans trying to land a bomb. He'll pick dan apart with his striking, which power aside, is waaay better. He'll also beable to use kicks more becouse chances are Dan wont shoot in, he'll most likely look for the takedown from the clinch. Might not be the best move though.
My pick - Franklin - Round 2 sub

I agree with everything but the fight ending prediction. I don't have anything in particular to add except to say that making the claim that Henderson is "better at everything" doesn't hold much water IMO. Franklin is a very well-rounded fighter while Henderson is very good--and much better than Rich--at one aspect of fighting, albeit a very important aspect. His striking is power+chin which = almost nothing against anybody who can move and strike from angles. He also has limited sub attacks, although he is good at defending.
I think it is a very close match with a controversial decision--Franklin winning most of each round by striking and moving whle Henderson gets a takedown or two without doing much on the ground.

I don't know if Henderson will win by KO in first maybe TKO. I know Henderson will win this fight, but it could be a decision. Doesn't matter how, it is sure to be an explosive fight.

this fight could go either way and i dont think it is nearly as lopsided a victory for dan as most seem to. i actually think that rich will pull this out, provided he doesnt get caught with a big right hand and put away. rich is very difficult to take down, and has very underated bjj when he is down. his striking is, imo, better than hendos although that big right is a big equalizer. anyway you stack it this should be a great fight

Hendo is my favorite fighter hands down...and I'd love for him to win it. But I do agree, this is going to be a tough fight to call. Let's remember that Rich is a phemomenal striker and his losses are to only Silva and Machida... it's gonna be a war.
I hope to see Dan pull it off in an impressive fashion and move towards a title shot in either division..

This is exactly how i feel.....i don't understand honestly how anyone is gonna pick Rich in this fight. I can't see him out striking Hendo.....No way does he submit him....and if Rich somehow wins the stand up in the first Hendo will come out (as the stronger guy), Clinch put Rich on his back and pound him for the rest of the fight.
Honestly depending the line on this fight i would be willing to bet all of my possessions on it.
Thats nothing against Rich because hes a great fighter but this is the worst match up possible for him including Anderson imo.

Franklin leaves himself open defensively when he strikes and he tends to move to his left after he strikes, right into hendersons strong side. IMO Franklin doesnt have the handspeed to keep hendo on his toes, the footwork to keep himself out of hendo's range, the strength to keep himself from being dominated in the clinch, or the chin to withstand Dan's power.
Remember when franklin said he was surprised by how strong Silva was in the clinch, and how he thought that was going to be where he was at advantage? Well Hendo is even stronger than Anderson in the clinch. I see him having no problems with the takedowns either.
