one main problem i see with your logic is that you say it would get rid of one-dimensional fighters. first of all, if a fighter is really good at one thing and it works for him, then he should stick to it. second of all, if a fighter keeps loosing and refuses to change his style, then he's done with. they dont need to add more rules just to try to get rid of one-dimensional fighters.
also, watching events that have too many rules on them get irritating because the ref ends up having to stop the fight every two minutes. example: if you have ever watched WCL, you know that they are not allowed to go to the ground or even fight in the clinch. in turn, a match will get stopped several times in a single round. its just a pain in the ass

Hey I'm just throwing it out there, you can't blame me for being creative and trying to start a conversation about a little idea. I'm not serious about it, I'm just saying, it would be an interesting concept.

I dont think it would be a good idea, or that it would even work... in the UFC.
It is a bit interesting however, and it could be cool for some matchups, but I would hope that the UFC does not do this. This could be a good experiment for some small promotion (perhaps for some exposure).

GUYS I HAVE A GREAT IDEA!!!!
Lets have boxing, but you can only punch your opponent in the stomach for the first 3 rounds!!!!!!!!
There's nothing wrong with the old rules, but let's change them anyway just because we should add some good twsits and turns to annoy everyone,
Even better.........Let's throw in some tables and chairs, hell, even a ladder!!!!
