After defeating Mike Whitehead at the last Affliction show, Renato “Babalu” Sobral made it very clear who he wanted to fight next. He publicly stated that Tito Ortiz is his dream fight.

Ortiz appeared destined to sign with Affliction after finally parting ways with the UFC. However, to this day, Ortiz and Affliction have not come to terms on a contract. Sobral has still not wavered on a potential match-up.

“That is my dream fight,” said Sobral, “I’d fight him for free. I’d whip that ass for free.”

Sobral and Ortiz undoubtedly had multiple opportunities to get to know each other. They both fought in the UFC for many years. Apparently, that time didn’t go very well.

“I don’t like his attitude,” said Sobral, “it would be awesome to fight him.”

That would be a great fight, I would love to see it.
Maybe if Babalu does whip his ass, Dana would bring him back to UFC.

As much as I hate to say it Ortiz might overwhelm Babalu a bit too much. But I think Babalu has the submission skills to possibly put him away, but then again when his Tito really been submitted? Like once? By Guy Mezger? It would be a great fight though that's for sure

I'll give Babalu badass points for this statement, but he'd have his hands full. I think it would be a dull fight.

I hope this fight happens and Babalu puts him in his place. Ortiz still thinks he has what it takes to be on top...if he loses to Babalu and Machida back-to-back, he won't have much room to run his mouth anymore.

True but the funny thing is... at one point how many guys in the world has dreamed about Jenna? lol At least Tito is seeing some love. lol

Back to MMA! okay Sorbal must be thinking Tito is a has been, bc i know he is! He doesn't want to fight anyone young, and new to the sport in the fear of getting demolished! Tito would win this fight anyhow to show the world (ufc) he's still good and that Machida is nothing but a runner and afraid. And this is a future quote of what Tito will say after his next win.

Machida owned him just like he has everyone else and Babalu would own ortiz as well. Babalu is a very complete fighter who is beyond ortiz at this point in his career. The ufc should bring back Babalu. i dont think his choke was any different than Royce Gracie back in the day or Penn when he choked out Pulver.

WAR BABALU!!!
