I gotta pick against my girl. I'm picking Kelly Kobald to win Saturday night, largely based on experience. I've seen a couple of Kelly's fights (mostly from Bodog and I think at least one from Hook 'N Shoot) and I think she has what it takes to beat Gina, as much as I don't want her to.
Anyone else in the same boat as me here?

I'll be at the bar with Girls Gone Wild since their in town...I'm not going to waste another saturday night on EXC.Plus im sure the bar will have it on..They have 20 inch lcd tvs in every booth anyways.
I think Gina will win though..We should wager on if she makes weight or not.

i'm pickin kelly as well. mostly because i always root for people to lose who get a bunch of undeserved hype, like gina. if she was ugly she wouldn't get near the attention that she does. i'm hoping kobald squashes the hype.

I hope Gina loses. I am sick of her being this superhero in female MMA. She has done nothing in a fight to really deserve it. She can't make weight and she has only fought mediocre competition. She is hot and I think it is cool that her looks has attracted veiwers, but I don't like her and hope she gets embarrassed.

I'd like to see the queen of special treatment dethroned eventually as well, but hype and controversy aside, she is a talented fighter and deserves some respect for that. I don't think that Kelly Kobald will be the one to do the deed though - my money is on Mrs Cyborg to derail the Gina-train.

I voted 'CBS screws it up again.' Do you really think one of Elite XC's #1 money draws is going to lose?!?! Elite XC is in big money trouble and they NEED their "big names" to win.
Look at the Kimbo fight... we all know 10 or more better match-ups for Kimbo other than Shamrock, but once again they're giving him a for sure win to keep the BS going. Yeah, we all could argue that Shamrock could do something to win this fight, but that won't happen. As much as I hate to say this, I would easily predict a mysterious "dive" from Shamrock before I ever say he has a chance to get this to the ground and win. That's just the reputation Elite XC has with me right now.
Does all of this mean I won't be watching tonight???? Hell no, I'm watching in HOPES that I'm dead wrong and both Gina and Kimbo lose!!!!!

The "CBS screws it up again" was a factor when I picked Kimbo to win. I want Shamrock to win but I have a feeling that if it goes the distance, there will be immense pressure on the judges to give Kimbo the win, even if ti's a split or majority decision. at least if he wins then hopefully he'll finally have to face Brett Rogers and they can settle the score between them. And after the weigh-ins, I admittedly am a bit more convinced that Kelly will win, Gina's extra weight-cutting yesterday will have to have taken an extra toll on her both mentally and physically.
