WEC Bantamweight Champion Miguel Torres earned his Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt over the weekend from Carlson Gracie Jr.-son of the late Carlson Gracie Sr. who was “Angel’s” mentor before he died in 2006.

Torrez is one of the best fighters people will never know about (other then serious MMA fans), which is a pity because he is -tons- of fun to watch fight. Wish the UFC would adopt the lower weight classes, but I understand why they dont...then the smaller guys like Torrez & Faber could get the pub they deserve (& the coresponding paydays).

I love to watch this guy fight too. He's very well versed with his striking and his Bjj and subs.

I LOVED his last fight. I could have turned it off after that and be satisfied. He's ready to headline cards now if he can get good competition.
