The long-rumored rematch between EliteXC middleweight champion Robbie Lawler and challenger Joe Villasenor will indeed take place on the Nov. 8 broadcast of EliteXC on Showtime.

The organization made the announcement in a preview of upcoming events during Friday night's ShoXC event.

EliteXC Vice President Jared Shaw had hinted at the possibility of the bout to MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com), but the official word had not been released before tonight.

I've always liked Villasenor, I hope he can get his revenge against Lawler.

i think this second fight will be more of a war than the first fight, but I see the same result lawler winning.

I think Lawler is back up to UFC level competition....after this fight (if he wins) he should leave EXC and re-enter the Octagon!

I think Lawler v. Henderson or Wanderlei would be more competitive.

Smokin' Joey for sure, if you saw the last fight it was a fast KO. But Joey is years better and has the same knock out power as Lawler does. Plus his stand up is unbelievable right now. Don't forget how Nick DIaz KO'd Lawler in the UFC. Just like that.
