Kurt Angle seems to think he will go to mma in 2009. in this article by the UK sun he says he is talking to "several" companies about fighting mma next year, but he has also been saying that since like 06. do you think he will do it? oh and he also claimes he is the only "olympic gold medalist to fight mma" i about died laughing. The dude obviously doesn't know the sport and is just jumping on the bandwagon. Right here. im gonna laugh when he sees what he is up against. Especially if he thinks he is the only mma fighter with a gold medal.

He was an olympic gold medalist. but he's takin so much damage to his body since gettin into pro wrestling. He's slower now and he wont amount to anything in mma. Im sure its been forever since kurt has actually "wrestled" and he's most likely really rusty. He may be able to take people down, but he will know nothing about BJJ or stand up. He'd get Ko'd or tapped out everytime, even against mediocre fighters. Brock lesnar, bobby lashley and kurt angle were all great wrestlers. I think brock and bobby both have a bright future ahead of them in mma, their both still pretty young, kurt however isnt. I think he's near 40 now. You cant come into mma (knowing nothing) at that age and expect to do well. I think he's all talk. I doubt he actually even has an interest in fighting mma. I just think he's tryin to get people talkin about him and get his name out there. My prediction= Kurt angle will never compete in mma (unless its an mma fight against frank trigg in TNA (Total Nonstop Action wrestling)).

I think Brock Lesnar to MMA might be kinda like the Rock to acting. The Rock is the only decent actor to come out of WWE or whatever its called now and i think brock might be the only decent fighter to come out. I think Angle will talk but won't do what it takes.

Now I went to the link and read the report. I did see that it was just published on the 23rd. But what is with this quote? How long ago did the interview happen or is he a bit punch drunk already? He added: “It depends on which company gives me the best deal.
"I’m getting offers from the UFC, Pro Elite XC, Affliction and the IFL.
The IFL??? Didn’t they already go out of business? Just caught my attention. Didn’t know what that was all about, maybe he knows something we don’t.

I think he'd fight in heavyweight and if thats the case I think he could move the ranks a little bit. I mean he has fantastic cardio and wrestling is off the charts.
Think a fight between him and Henderons would be pretty sweet to be honest if the weights would match up. Wrestling clinic for sure.
Sad part is he'd make more money in Pro wrestling than he would ever make in MMA. Just how things are right now.

I think his career will be short and sweet IIRC on the primetime EliteXC card, there was a wrestler who made his MMA debut at 42

I hope to God he gets the courage to do this. If he goes to the UFC, he's going to get hurt. This isn't 1995, you need knowledge other than wrestling. He'll either get submitted or knocked-out, he won't even have a chance of going the distance. Probably anybody he would fight in the UFC will take him out in the first round. Even in EliteXC, they'll probably throw someone at him so he'll win and draw more viewing, but when he struggles to beat that person, or loses, people won't be interested in watching him fight in MMA. The only reason I am is so somebody will shut him up once and for all.

I like him as a pro-wrestler but he needs to put up or shut up.
BTW though, check out the new TNA video game commercial. It does look like he's lost a hell of a lot of size.Maybe he is trying?
But i'll believe it when I see it.

Any of those pro-wrestlers comin' to MMA couldn't hurt the sport at all. No matter how bad they'll be
