At this point I would have to take Alvarez, not that Nick cant beat him but he seems to be in a funk right now and Alvarez seems to me to be fighting much better right now.
I never count a Diaz brother out but IMO Alvarez is more likely to win.

Same thing they said when he fought Robbie Lawler and again when he beat Takanori Gomi and thats why Ill never count him out of any fight, its not his skill that keeps him from being the best IMO its his dedication.

with both Dream and Elite XC you do not have to sign exclusive contracts. so Alvarez will still be fighting in Dream as far as i am aware of

Should be an interesting match up, but honestly Alvarez has much better chances. If Diaz can't find a way to get Alvarez down, he will lose by TKO or decision in my opinion.

damn, you guys act like eddie would be the heavy favorite. I think diaz would have the slight edge in this fight. i think it would be a war, and we might actually get to see nick use his slick ground game, as i think alvarez would try to take him down. if it stayed standing it would be a toss up. neither has phenominal striking, but both are decent. diaz is a little more unorthodox in his striking, which may or may not give him the edge. this would be an awesome fight. i hope it come to fruition, but i am going to give diaz the slight edge. diaz has fought the better people and has more experience.

Ill admit Diaz has real bad wrestling and would have a hard time with taking Alvarez down just like he dose with almost everyone. Nick has a great ground game but the issue as stated is, he's not the best at taking fighters down and I dont agree that Alvarez will take Nick down B/C I think his striking game is better than Nicks and he sure as hell cant beat Nick on the ground. IMO he'll keep it standing and Nick will have to find a way to get it to the ground to be able to win.

actually there my 2 fav fighters i would love to see that. wouldnt want 2 see either lose but i just think alvarezis on his way to taking over the lw division where ever he goes. Plus im from philly so im a little bias but it would be one hell of a war.

Alvarez should dominate, Diaz has looked terrible since the Gomi fight.
