Following his July release from the UFC, former TUF 7 middleweight contestant Jesse Taylor will be returning to action on Oct. 2 during Total Combat 32 at the Syucan Casino just outside of San Diego.
Taylor’s opponent will be another former UFC veteran, Drew Fickett.
Taylor lost a chance to compete against Amir Sadollah in the finals of TUF 7 after he was dismissed from the show following an incident at a Las Vegas hotel and casino. He had earned the right to meet Sadollah after winning a semifinal fight against Tim Credeur and remained in Vegas after the show had wrapped filming to celebrate the win.

Taylor is gonna get worked... looks to be a case of too much too soon. I think Fickett is too experienced for Taylor and will overwhelm him in this fight.

taylor hasnt evolved his striking so he will take fickett down, which BIG mistake for taylor and fickett will probably earn a first round submission again.

What I'm wondering is why are they competing at Total Combat? It's a farm, a starter Org, not for the truly established and accomplished fighter's? By the way it's also been announced through TC's website.

Yeah, I don't understand it. Fickett is always fighting in these smaller orgs. And he's way too good for that. I'd like to see him back in the UFC. Or at least Strikeforce, or EXC.
