With a broken hand after Affliction’s first edition with a knockout over Terry Martin, Vitor Belfort was scrapped from the second edition due to recover his injury, but the postponement of the event to 2009 was good news for the athlete, able to recover in time to fight again. “My hand is getting better. I’m doing a lot of physical training and physiotherapy. I didn’t care about the postponement, I wasn’t going to fight anyway”, jokes the fighter, the confirmed to TATAME.com he’ll be at Affliction’s next show.

I wonder who they will put him up against. Hopefully not just a guy to try and get him another win, but someone who will challenge his skills.

would have been suprised if he didnt fight at affliction 2 since its not till next year.
I also think vitor should fight lindland.

Im gald to hear Vitor is back on the card I hope that they match him up against Lindland like originally. That will make for a great fight in my opinion. I think Vitor has what it takes to be a Top 10 middle weight, he just needs the chance to prove it.

Who else does Affliction have at MW other than Lindland....Martin who just lost to Vitor and is fighting tonight, and Negao who has to Lindland at the last event? If Affliction wants a solid fan base then they had better start building up the other divisions.....HWs will only get you so far.

Exactly. You have to build up every division. I dont like this layoff until January. Its gonna be half a year between shows. You dont build momentum like that. Matt Lindland has got to fight Vitor. Only fight that makes sense for either guy. And I am taking Vitor all day. Every time.

i think that is a bad matchup for vitor and think matt will win a lot more often than not. vitor is tough and could surprise me but my guess is that lindland will get the W
