I think we may see the best coaching yet on TUF this season.
Mir's Octagon savvy is among the top in the game IMO. For those of you that are WEC fans we've seen his "Crystal Ball" work night after night. Combine that with the display he already put on helping Jason Guida trying to cut weight and I think you've got the makings for a great coach.
Then again, you've got Noguiera on the other side of the cage. His skills and heart alone are the stuff of legend. Not to mention the training partners he's going to bring in to help teach the guys- Anderson Silva, Lil' Nog, etc.
So, who's fighters will fare better once the teams are selected?

Nogueiras coaching level is much higher than Mir but it could just end up like another Pulver Penn. Best guess BigNog.

Mir's would. He has a ton of guys not from his own camp coming. Alot of guys are too proud to do that. he has Mark Delegrotte the famous muay thai coach and Rafael Alejarra who is wanderlei silva's conditioning coach (the one who does the snorkel training) and he has Robert Drysdale who is a coach at Xtreme Couture and is a BJJ specialist and alot others. Nog has celebrities comin.

for the last three seasons I always thought that the "favorite fighter" team (i.e. Penn, Hughes,Jackson) would do better but I was proven wrong, that's why I say Team Mir.

No one can give an honest answer to this until they see the teams picked. I dont care how good of a coach you are, if you pick a bad team they will suck.

Based on TUF's of the past I highly disagree with this. Except in the terms of who ends up winning the tournament. (sometimes a fighter is just that much more skilled than another)
It's people like this who refuse to listen to their corner and lose fights because of it

Nogs got a strong team, but they're fighters not coaches. I know they still have alot of knowledge to pass on, but i think mir has made a better choice bringing in more actual coaches. I think Mir will really beable to motive his guys and be a better cornerman to. Pitty none of that will matter when Nog beats him come the end of the season.

You can be the best coach in the world, if you have someone like andy wang on your team who refuses to listen to your advice, it doesn't matter.
No way to say who will have the better teams until we know which fighters are on which team and see them training/fighting. The coaches need to be able to provide good instruction, but more importantly, the students need to be willing to learn and have the talent to pick it up.
So I voted don king.

I thought Noguiera's english was almost perfect, good enough that I dont see why they needed the subtitles.
Back to the topic, I agree that its up to how good the fighters are on each team. However, morale plays a role too. It always seems like once a team starts losing a few its all downhill from there.
Mir seems more enthusiastic to be there, so If I had to pick right now Id pick Mir's team based on that.

I love posts like this... Just brimming with intelligence and really adding to the discussion... Very well put
I would have to lean towards Nog... Maybe because he's one of my fav's... But I heard Mir was bringing in Drysdale (who's a ****** ninja) and it seems like Frank's a really amiable guy, easy to get along with, etc which in some cases can hurt a coach, but in this case I think it'll be a good thing...
With all that said and done, I'll have to agree with Mr. Kennedy... I think they'll both do well
