Is there any certain thing that you do or don't do when making your picks?
For instance, I *never* pick "Split Decision" and I also, for some odd reason, have a hard time picking Round 3 as the finishing round.***
Also, I don't pick the Underdog. The +2 just isn't worth it to me.
*** I think my philosphy behind this is that it's harder to submit AND knock someone out in the later rounds. I'll pick a UD 9 times out of 10 over a 3rd round finish.

I have a similar strategy. I also never pick split decisions(probably should start since they've been spreading like wildfire) and I rarely pick a fight to end in the final round. I have picked a fair amount of underdogs and most have been spot on (mainly in the secondary league). It's nice to get the full 13 points, yet I agree that the extra points are really not worth the risk. Should be AT LEAST +4 more points for an Underdog IMO.

Also dont pick 3rd round finishes, and no split decisions. I do picks underdogs from time to time, only if i'm 100% on them though.
As far as other things, when there are close bouts ,whoever i pick to win, I wager on the other. I never pick more than 5 decision per event.
cant think of much else right now.

I dont pick a lot of underdogs, unless I am really confident in them (like Massenzio at the last event)
I have picked a couple Split Decisions here and there...but not many...and only an occasional 3rd round win...and thats pretty rare..although I did on the last card..and it didnt pay....haha..

I never pick Jonathon Goulet, and so far its treated me nicely.
Even against Hironaka where goulet won... i still feel it was the right choice picking hironaka.

I also rarely pick 3rd round finishes and never pick SD's. I rarely pick the underdog unless I think the fight is really a coin flip. I agree 2 points isn't enough. For the risk it should be more than 2 points.
I typically check (if I don't know already) the most common way a fighter finishes the fight, and the most common way the other fighter loses.
I pick a lot of UD's and TKO's because they seem to be the most common ending, and I probably never pick more than 3 subs unless there are a lot of submission specialists.

I usually bet against western Europeans and if I havent heard of either guy i pick one by first round KO/TKO. If the fight is in Japan I pick the Japanese guy.
