On September 17th “The Ultimate Fighter” season five winner Nathan Diaz will face his toughest opponent in Josh Neer. The fight will be the main event on a card that also boasts a fight between season six winner, Mac Danzig, and Clay Guida. “It’s great that this fight will be the main event. It’s good to get the exposure. I don’t want to let my team down so my thing is to go out and get it done,” Diaz recently told GracieFighter. Sometimes the limelight is too much for certain fighters, but Diaz is ready to go out and get the job done. When we last spoke with Diaz, he admitted that it was the hard work that he put into training that helped him defeat Kurt Pelligrino at UFC Fight Night 13.

Nate entertains me greatly.
If you include his wins on TUF5, he's on a 7 fight win streak, and is 11-1 in his last 12 (only losing to Hermes Franca).
Pretty impressive, but he has to move on to tougher opponents if he wins this one.

I think Pellegrino is a better fighter than Neer

I agree I think Pellegrino is extremely underrated I think this fight will look pretty much the same.... Nate getting dominated in the standup then submission out of no where
its a Diaz thing I guess

you are right about Nick and no one knows yet about Nate, Nick has not had the Sprawl to compete with the top tier of the UFC, even a very green Sanchez, but then he went on to own Gomi and then lose to no names in EliteXC, go figure. Nate seems a lot better off of his back then Nick, but Nick defintely has the hands to be very well rounded if he either improved his takedowns, Sprawl or off his back subs.
I think people love them and love to hate them because of their attitudes, the nice guys are great, but if it is fun to see spice some of the time.
