So Chuck was the big dog on the block for a few years in the UFC. People know who he is less than avg. fans would pay to watch. So he sells tix and seems to sell the likes of Rampage, Jardine, Wandi, and now Evens t. Page blew up off of Iceman so did Wandi(To not so avg. mma fans) Jardine maybe not so much as that was a big night of upsets. but last night set a new standard wow Im not a Rashad fan but wow all the people that ordered the fight to watch Chuck fight or even went to a bar to watch him now know who Rashad Evens is. the guy who REALLY Koed Chuck Liddell. I love Chucks fights but after last night Im thinking he is a gatekeeper for the future talents of the mma world

not just yet. after all he did beat Wanderlei one fight ago so i think he can be ranked anywhere from 10 to 5 so not a gatekeeper til we know for sure he cant beat any top guys anymore.

also did anyone else notice when that last punch was landed Goldie was screaming about the upper cut Chuck just landed as Chuck newly limp body started falling to the ground I had to watch the KO at least 10 more times on TiVo.

The answer is No. Liddell can still be a contender, but he must change his tactics. After the Jardine fight, Liddell and Jackson both stated they would not be changing what had worked for them. The Silva victory may have given them a false sense of confidence. Surely they must know now that what strategy works for one fighter may not work for another. As the competition in the UFC has gotten better over the past 2 years, it's winning is becoming about planning and execution, because your oppenent will be just as skilled as you.
Also, there are 2 fighters in there. Someone has to lose. After watching the KO clip, I can tell you that the only thing that kept Rashad's eyes from rolling up into his head was a mere split-second b/c that Liddell uppercut was coming and Evans chin was also completely exposed. One teeny tiny itsy-bitsy second and all these threads would be talking about how Liddell is going to be champ again.

Hurry before it is yanked!

-OUT-

One more thing: I will be looking to join a new fight camp asap. Contact me if interested. I would prefer a camp around my area, but that's not iron-clad.

well if that overhand I clearly saw a cross comming pretty hard so the were 2 really hard punches left at the end sure what if Chuck landed it could have been a double KO but I think Rashad looked one step ahead of every punch Chuck threw last night
