Rashad won by a "punchers chance" plain and simple.

In Rashad. Fight went exactly how i said it would with the 2nd round knockout. I been a believer from day 1! Now have all you non believers been converted?
Give him a title shot i saY!!! A new champ is in the midst.
I've always been a beliver in Rashad.Look at my picks for UFC 88. Rashad by KO in the 2nd round!
\\
Tmas you are full of shit been saying rashad had better striking forever. The only thing I got wrong is the round. Didn't think it would happen in the second.

This is the last time I'm going to say this....No one on this site thought what happened last night was going to happen. If you picked Rashad by Tko/KO you thought he was going to take Chuck don and GnP him out. No one thought Rashad was going to stand with him and win. NO ONE. So please stop kidding yourselves people.

That's exactly what I thought would happen.I didn't think Rashad could wrestle Liddell to the ground, but I believed he would be able to employ an even better stand up game plan than Jardine did.Though i can't say he employed better standup than Jardine did against Liddell,he landed the million dollar shot that finished it in the second. I picked Rashad to win by KO based on my opinion he would come in with a better gameplan than Jardine and Silva, and would be able to finish the fight.

I have been a nonbeliever since day 1. The man has 3 split decisions, and 1 majority decision, and 1 draw. The man would be 8-5 without a lot of luck. He is a good fighter, but a champ he will never be.
Why is it every time some tard calls an upset fight, they have to come on the forums gloating, and saying I told you so?
disagree

I posted this because Rashad has been doubted by many of you from day 1. Saying he hadnt beat anyone etc. While myself i have seen talent in Rashad, just as Franks did.
Im not bragging about the pick, i have picked many big upsets in the past and havnt posted bragging. This post is not about that for those of you who said it is.. This post was meant to provide an intriging debate over whether or not people who didnt believe now see rashad as legit after beating the best LHW of all time.

I think if you took a poll before Rashad smashed his face in, he'd have been voted the #1 or 2 lhw. If Rashad fought another fifty fights in his career, against the best there are, and won them all, you'd all still be hating on Rashad and talking about how theres no way he can beat his next opponent. Don't say its not true either. Its already been said on this thread that Rashad CANT beat Forrest.

I agree, everybody hate on Rashad even though Forrest is pretty much in the same boat as Rashad. The only difference I see between the two is the fact that Forrest finishes more of his fights. Both beat one top 10 fighter before they got a title shot. Both were TUF winners so the UFC shouldn't have a problem promoting this at all.

Rashad IMo has earned a title shot. But i still dont think he will win. A fight with Forrest ends with Griffins hand raised.

i'd still like to see rashad v. machida for the title shot 'course if rashad fights like he did against chuck with machida than we might not even see a punch thrown

no the diffrence is to me at least forrest isnt gonna be a guy who well he already proved he can take a loss i feel rashad will lose his litttle streak and then lose like 4 fights in a row and the last will be to like a gate keeper and then so long rashad and everyone will go on there buissness without another promising but at the same tim overrated fighter so to me rashad has no hope but if he ends up champ then oh well i was wrong so be it but when he loses whenever it will be hes done imo
