Rashad Evans took the heat in “Hot-lanta” to a whole new level on Saturday night as the Ultimate Fighting Championship descended on Atlanta. He spent the first round being stalked by former UFC champion Chuck Liddell, but didn’t wait long to score the “Knockout of the Night” in round two

I called the FOTN and even said it should be moved to the main card, but i guess SOTN has to go to macdonald since he got the only submission.

Does anyone know if he is the first guy to get SOTN after being submitted by SOTN the previous card?
That's some MMA Trivia right there!

Its another sad sad day for everyones favorite nuthugger jaceiceman.
Mad props to Rashad, that was one of the sickest KO's I have seen in a long time, I know that he was just throwing bombs in return but good lord that was sweet timing, about as flush of a connection as you can get.
I have already been PM'ed about what happened to him and I cant say anything other that he got KTFO. I dont think he took Rashad lightly as everyone seems to think, I think Liddell's style has just become vulnerable as age has cought up to him. When he was younger he could get away with it but last night he didnt keep his hands up and he got tagged about as hard as you can be.
No excuses from me, Rashad earned it, albiet I still dont like him mainly because of his showboating but the guy has earned his dues.
I have a bad feeling that this might be one of Chuck's last fights, that was a pretty humiliating loss for a guy like Chuck who takes so much pride in what he does and it would be a long long long road back towards the belt if he does in fact try again.
So who thinks he will retire, or do you guys think he will move to heavyweight??
I imagine there are plenty of you that are just waiting to talk shit but I'm wondering seriously.

It's not the end, but it's one hell of a setback. Moving to the heavyweight division might rejuvinate him much like Randy's career. I'm not sure if it's the best move though as he can still compete with anyone at LHW.

Rashad landed a beautiful punch in this fight. no one can take the win away from him and it also helped that he didnt win by decision.
Regarding Chuck Liddell.... he should not retire. hes on a bad streak, losing 3 out of 4. All 4 fights were against good competition, but he still should've won 2 probably 3 out of those four. That being said, he shouldnt be considering retireing just yet. Randy Couture lost 3 out of 5 before putting some wins together and beating tim sylvia for HW crown. Losing streaks happen. Its difficult to get past in MMA, but still possible. He is passed his prime, but that doesn't mean he couldn't still compete.
I'd love to see chuck fight rich franklin, but idk if the UFC would give him someone that tough right away. I'm expecting him to get someone weaker to get a win back. but we'll see. i wouldnt mind seeing him fight franklin or maybe even vera after his fight with jardine.
