Is the Janitor such an underdog in his upcoming fight? I have full faith in him to beat Nog. Not finish him but beat him at least. Mainly because wrestling usually beats BJJ

Vlad was great in the IFL. I do think that the IFL made fighters look better than they actually are. Rothwell, although showed he is tough, got beat down by AA, Schultz gets knocked out, and Whitehead gets outclassed by Babalu. These 3 fighters were a combined 20-2 in the IFL. Outside the IFL the talent level is much higher, and the competition is greater.

It's probably "name picking". Nog gets a lot of picks just because of his name and the expectations that come with it, most people probably expect him to win because of it.

Because Matyushenko has never looked impressive to me, while Nog has been in wars and come out on top, plus his ground game is light years ahead of Vlad which is where this fight is going

It's probably "name picking". Nog gets a lot of picks just because of his name and the expectations that come with it, most people probably expect him to win because of it.
Or just the fact that Nog is the better, more well rounded fighter... Regardless of names, Nogueira to a lot of people, including me, seems like the much better fighter...
To be honest, I wouldn't have a problem saying that he's the best LHW outside of the UFC

would you consider Arona in that category? because if so i feel that Arona is a lot better than Lil Nog.

Because he has the last name Nogueira. Last time I saw a guy with the last name Nogueira, despite never having heard of him before, was a favorite in a secondary league fight. The guy lost his fight.
I am sure that there are a lot of people that pick because of the name or record. I've seen great fighters as underdogs because they had a 15-8 record against a guy that is 2-0.

Matyushenko beat Lil Nog back in 2002 by outwrestling him, and I fully expect him to do the same 6 years later.
Matyushenko is being underrated because he hasn't faced a lot of topo guys recently and Nog has a big name and some big victoriesover Alistair Overseam and Dan Henderson.
It's going to be a close fight but "the janitor" has much better wrestling and he has never been submitted. He'll keep Nog on his back, GnP, and avoid submissions.

Really? I feel the ground games pretty much negate each other, and both have decent wrestling tactics(nog uses trips arona strngth) while Nog has much better stand up.
