it really is so hard for me to choose against one of my all time favorites in CC but overeem is good. i mean he finished hunt so fast that was nuts. if he takes cro cop down which is hard to do then i think he can sub CC. but if its standing its a toss up. i really hope we get to see that precious left leg head kick again

I'm picking Overeem by decision. If he can avoid the big KO shot and keep CC grounded he shouldn't have too much trouble.

Its do or die time for CC. This fight will show if he can still fight at the top level anymore. I don't know how much of it is blind hope, but I'm taking CC by KO in the first.

Cro Cop vs. Overeem Appears to be Off DREAM 5.
Cro Cop to Fight on September 23rd DREAM, Wants Overeem.
Rumor: Cro Cop vs. Semmy Schilt Could Happen at DREAM 6.

Anyway, this would be an interesting matchup, with Cro Cop trying to right the ship and Overeem enjoying a nice little run of success over the last year.
I believe all three of Overeem's fights in the last year have been at heavyweight, so the weight gain shouldn't be a problem. In fact, I think he might be better with the extra beef than he was at 205. He is 6'5", after all.

I think Overeem is one of the highly underated fighters in the world. People have started to doubt him after seeing him gas a whole lot at 205 but at HW he seems to be in great shape. This is really a 50/50 fight for me. CC has more power and i think Overeem has more speed. I think Overeem would UD CC but in no way would it be surprising if CC won. I wish Overeem would come to the UFC where i think he could do good.

i think that cc kos overeem in the first rd...much like sergei did not that long ago.....overeem is on a good TWO fight run, but that doensnt mean all that much...he tko'd the headhunter which seems to be the common thing for top heavys to do...he also submitted hunt, which seems to be the common thing for the top heavys to do....but fell short on sergei, who i think is less of a threat than cc...that is if cc comes in with all the head issues equaled out.....a lot of people gave him flack when he took on a no name in his last fight, but after his previous two fights in the ufc, he had to take that so he could get back on the horse and regain his confidence....i think he'll be back and the demolish the demolition man after fending off some pressure and catching him with a good shot thats spells the end.

My heart wants Cro Cop to win but I've lost faith in the man. Hopefully he can make me a born again Filipovinian.

Alistair Overeem all the way Cro Cop is tough shit but Overeem is always improving I think he will show this again in his fight Cro Cop. Im undecided on how the fight will end because I think Alistair can ko and submit Cro Cop. To be honest if it goes to the decision I think he will win there too. I think Cro Cop's only chance is to land a big shot, but hes made a career off of landing big shots so im not counting him out at all.

Overeem by coolness, more momentum and having his heart in the game more. IF HE DOESN'T GAS!
Cro Cop can win, but I just don't see it, he seems really off as of late.
