i would take lesner. I think the only way your beating brock, is a sub off the back. Randy doesnt have those skills.

I agree Randy will get hurt/retired

Instead of thinking who would win, I want to know what would Randy have to gain by fighting Lesnar?

I mean career wise.... and don't say the beating of his career.

Well Nog is tied up with TUF, and Werdum is already scheduled to fight. So who is left? GG rematch (no point in making it), Lesnar (big money), Cain (still fairly unknown), Carwin (same deal as Cain), and Kongo is injured.

Unless they scrap Werdum's upcoming fight, and put him against Randym Lesnar would seem like the best next choice.

No way Randy would kill Brock, nobody gives brock any credit look what he did to heath herring, i like randy alot but brock would destroy him. Brock will be a future champion just because he wrestled in the wwe doesn't mean he's not good.

Randy killed tim no problem and tim has the size advantage. Brock is over rated. let him beat more than one noteable person before we dub him god k?

Honestly? I believe Randy has his credibility to gain.
He completely lost his credibility and alot of peoples respect when he pulled this contract shit.

Randy doesn't deserve to fight any top level fighters until he can prove that he can honor a committment.

Is this a joke? Brock Lesnar doesnt deserve a shot at Randy Couture and the belt with only 2 UFC fights under his belt... Makes no sense... If Randy Couture is considering a big comeback fight i think the smartest career move for him would be the quite anticipated fight with Fedor Emelianenko at Affliction possibly.

Randy needs credibility?? your twisted up dude....

BROCK still needs some credibility and what will we think if brock gets his ass whooped- Randy beats the big dumb Wrestler? Heath Herring however entertainning had a fight where he ALMOST beat Nog.... alot of people were almost beating nog then got subbed- he beats a questionable KONGO then gets rag dolled by Lessnar- RANDY WOULD FINISH Herring.. right??

Styles make matchups and matchups make fights- This will be VERY interesting and I actually favor Brock but nor by much.

I am EXTREMELY surprized at the number of people who think Brock would "dominate" Randy Couture.

First off, I strongly disagree with whoever said Brock has better wrestling than Randy. Brock is the bigger, stronger, and probably faster wrestler. That being said, Randy is an olympic caliber, which trumps being a national champion. Also, it's a different style of wrestling, as Radny's best attribute, other than his heart and conditioning, is his world class Greco. When You factor in Randy's expierience and cliber with Brock's Size, speed and strength, I'll call the wrestling part a wash, to humor the playground.

After that, it's all Randy Couture. Randy is better in every other aspect of the game than Lesner, not to mention Randy's 12 years in the game, as opposed to Brock's one. I think Randy is acthletic enough and smart enough to keep it on the feet and outstrike Brock. Randy is a master of gameplans, and Brock will not be able to just control randy on the ground like he didi Herring.

If all of that isn't simple enough for you, let's try this...

YOU DO NOT BET AGAINST RANDY COUTURE! Randy has made a living out of proving critics wrong. This has the makings for another Chapter in the Randy couture Story, ending in another "upset" (even though I wouldn't call it that). Yeah, he's 45, but 45 for randy isn't like 45 for most other people.

Ok, I know I'm starting to sound like Joe Rogan here But I strongly advise against anyone considering to put their house down of Brock beating Randy, if the fight, indeed, does happen.

Dude seriously??

wat are u surprised about??

lesnars wrestling is far superior to randys.randys flippinold already.yea he WAS olympic caliber at one point but not anymore.lesnar is young.huge.and fast.not to mention freakishly powerful.couture doesnt have any of those attributes.

haha randy is athletic ill give u that.but come on u really think he can keep it on his feet with someone like lesnar??.if lesnar wants him down hes goin to the mat.he wont be able to stop a determined lesnar take down.once that does happen.i see lesnar smothering couture much like the herring fight for 5 rounds.

also i dont see coutures stand up ability better than lesnars either.to me they are both about egual.but when yur brock lesnar u really dont need a whole lotta stand up when u can just decapitate yur oppenents with one punch.

BOTTOM LINE

Couture doenst have enough in his current skill set to beat Lesnar.

Think outside the box. Look at Randy's career. He gets better as he gets older. Brock is improving, and is a beast. But Randy is the epitome of a crafty fighter. I dont think Brock can explode oh him like he did Mir and Herring. Randy will fight smart, and show Brock that skill beats muscle.
