In an interview with Fighters Only Magazine, a UK publication, Rampage Jackson slammed Forrest Griffin:

...Regarding that fight, he says: "I just want my fans to know, I was at my worst, he was at his best - and I still beat him."

Jackson says that when he said [that he got his ass kicked], "I was being sarcastic, because I really could not believe that it went the way it did."

"I'm not a sore loser, shit happens. But I was hoping that Forrest would be a man and come out and say 'you know what, I didn't win that fight,' especially after he watched it."

"...But now, I don't respect him as a man. Because if it was me, I would have said, 'I have to give him a rematch right away, to remove all doubt.'"

I guess this is the beginning of the heat-up to their next fight. if Jackson pleas down his charges to probation and some community service, could we see this fight sooner than later? They sure are desperate for a November main event, but I don't know how willing they are to give Jackson a title shot given everything that just happened.

Kevin Iole interviewed Dana White for a new Yahoo Mailbag piece, and White confirmed that Jackson would return in November, but that they are still looking for an opponent:

But Jackson will fight, likely on the Nov. 15 card in Portland, Ore., and the charges won’t impede him.

“Of course he’ll fight,” White said. “If he was doing drugs, if he had been drunk, if he had gone out there and done what he did because he was pissed off at someone, that would be a completely different story. But he was ill. And in this company, we support our friends and anyone who works for us when they’re ill and have problems. He was ill, the incident occurred, and now he’s fine.

“Rampage feels awful about the woman’s baby, but he had nothing to do with it. And the (traffic incident) occurred because he was very ill and not with him in control of his faculties.”

I can see why Wanderlei doesn't like Page. Jackson likes to talk trash, but sometimes it's over the top and disrespectful. The decision was controversial but it's not lke Page dominated the fight either. He says he's "not a sore loser" but he's certainly not a gracious loser either.

this is very, very, disrespectful on Rampages part. i don't see why he just can't be a man and keep his mouth shut. Forrest won that fight. Rampage has lost a lot of my respect with these comments. I hope we get to see Wanderlei Vs. Rampage 3 no just so Wanderlei can knock some respect back into him with some knees to the cranium. Rampage

Wow Jackson really needs to learn what respect is because he has none. He also needs to learn how to shut his big mouth at some points. He lost at his BEST and needs excuses to get him back to the title shot and is scared of Silva(all of them ). about time for rampage to see the truth that he is not the best LHW

Rampage is a good fighter but I've never understood how he made it onto some people's top 10 p4p list. On top of that I've even questioned how he's been ranked #1 LHW in the world. It shows how screwed up the LHW division has been over the past year and a half, IMO. Losing to Wandy twice and getting your ass handed to you by Shogun like he did doesn't make a case for a top p4p athlete IMO. I guess it's all just a testament to the Chuck Liddell nut hugging that goes on in the MMA world. He comes over, makes quick work of Chuck for the second time and all of a sudden he's #1 LHW in the world. The victory over Dan Henderson, which I give him props for, is the only solid gauge of his skills IMO.

That being said I do believe he can beat Forrest. I actually wanted to pick Forrest to win that fight (camp talked me out of it) and at the beginning of the fight I was glad they had. Clearly he has a more developed skillset than Forrest. Forrest ended up doing what I thought he would- came in with a fantastic gameplan and executed it perfectly.

Still, neither of these guys would be a top 3 LHW if faced against 2 years ago's LHW competition IMO. I think Lyoto Machida and Wanderlei Silva can beat both of them, too.

It has just been confirmed i cant stand Rampage.....He has no respect for anyone but himself......Other fighters could have a field day with his hit and run he pulled, but they choose to support him instead......I say let the Rampage bashing begin.....

No Class! Rampage lost that fight, it might have been close, but not close enough to give it to him. Also, how can u plead down two felonies to probation?? Must be nice to be famous I guess.

disrespectful or not, the man is 100% correct, whether he won or not is arguable, but whether he should get a rematch or not isn't, forrest should lobby for one, because that's probably the only way it gets done.

I agree. After both of those guys watched the fight, they should have both wanted a rematch immediately. It was way too close for there not to be one. Why
Forest hasn't asked for one is beyond me.
