EliteXC officials have distributed a fight agreement and set a deadline for EliteXC 160-pound champion KJ Noons (7-2) to accept an Oct. 4 title fight with challenger Nick Diaz (18-7).
EliteXC Vice President Jared Shaw contacted MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) late Wednesday to discuss the deadline that the organization set.
"A bout agreement has been sent to KJ Noons," Shaw said. "He has until 5 (p.m. PT Thursday) to accept it, or he can face public opinion."
That public opinion has already been decidedly mixed since MMAjunkie.com reported Noons' unwillingness to commit to the bout earlier today. Shaw claims he has been unable to contact Noons' camp but hinted that the fighter may be unhappy with his contracted pay.

If he doesnt end up fighting Diaz again, ducking a fight will forever be known as pulling a noons.

If you fight for a major brand, As if you can pick and choose your opponents, What a dick! It really sounds like they want to 'secure' Diaz as their champion, And why the hell not!
WAR DIAZ

I'm glad they are doing this. This will tell us if Noons is a true champion. Take the fight, and let your skills do the talking.

" Hell yeah! The shit has healing powers. I would recommend pot for any fighter. Especially the ones that drink. You can’t get bombed and expect to be 100% the next day but if you had a joint you would be 110%. Most of those fucking guys are popping Vicodin and drinking and before you know it they’re crashing."

I think were jumping the gun here we don't even have a opinion from him yet maybe it is simply a contract dispute, or maybee Noons feels he wont be ready in time for a fighter of Diaz's caliber.. and this is elitexc's way of getting what they want
I will wait for Noons statement before I have anything to say he had no issues with getting in with him in there first fight or even fighting Yves Edwards who was a legitament threat to the title
just for the record I think Diaz wins decisively in the rematch

KJ Noons is a fighter that i really dislike. I kinda want him to duck the fight so it just further fuels the hate.
