You know what really grinds my gears? When people quote overrated pieces of crap like fight club?

Its a hypocritical. It disparages capitalism and how money and mass media are whats wrong with society. Then they go and sell its rights to a major movie studio, cast some of the biggest names in hollywood and turn out a piece of mass media garbage.

Todays society is just sinking deeper and deeper in the insanity. To take a line from FIight Club,"advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need."

That statement alone I believe is truer than ever now. Everyone just wants more and more and more and more and more. Damn I'd sleep in my car if I had to, most people would cry at the thought of that. I'd love to see a richy rich spend a day in a person like yours or my shoes, they'd lose their ****** mind, OVER THE ****** SHOES!!!!!!!

ok

And then pictures of celebrities eating something wierd, or drunk at a bar, or the false scandals that plague the newspapers time and time again. Who gives a shit, honestly? I ate a hotdog yesterday, everyone who eats a hotdog has to put in in their mouth at that loving angle, yet if a celeb does that their face is in pics everywhere with a hot dog. Celebs drunk at bars, okay I was under the impression that thats what you do at bars, who cares.

Is this really what we have sunk to, do we have nothing better to do than try to look in the window of our celebs, just to see what they're gonna do next, GET A F'ING LIFE PEOPLE.

alright

I was talking to, ha surprise, a redneck that told me,"If you don't support the war, you don't support the troops." in that stupid slang accent they have. At that point I just walked away. I support the shit out of the troops but I don't see any reason for us to be cops for a country because they can't get over their own ****** differences and get over it. It seems liek we've lost sight on Osama, I haven't seen a report on what we're doin to catch him in almost a year, and he's the reason we started all this.
Thats enough that convo could go on for days.

uhhhum.

And what is really getting under my skin is this whole election thing comin up, Obama or McCain, choose wisely america cause boy did we **** up on the last one. Honestly I think Obama is gonna win just because of all the media about him being black, which is kind of sad. I'm not racist by any means, I think McCains an idiot, but if I'm at the hospital, I don't care if the doc is black, white, purple, yellow or green, I just want the best. I think Hillary really was the best candidate. Basically I don't think this country is ready for a black or female president, and what he have leftover is a moron, man I'm crossin my fingers on this one.

yeah?

Anyways I think this country needs to sit back and realize what is goin on, and why all these other countries hate us, we are the most arrogant people in the worl, and not too rightfully so. I think that if we stop and think of what is really important in our lives, and for everyone its different, it'll open our eyes to some new oppurtunities and things of that nature.

i see.

just sum thoughts, now I want yours

I think you need to stay in school and learn how to put together a proper argument.

i pretty much agree with you on everything except 2 things:

1. when you criticized the rednecks accent. personally, it annoys me when people do this. he doesnt have a control over his accent, leave it alone. i also take personal offense to this since i am from the south

2. i dont think clinton would have made a good president. i honestly dont think ANY of the candidates would

anyways. i agree with everything else and it does make me sad to see the direction the world is going lately.

I agree on the ppl worship of celbs. But what dose rich ppl living in a car have to do with anything? You cut your own deal. This is one of the only places in the world that you are born with the right to make yourself rich. I don't know what your life is like but walk a mile in my shoes and its going to be tuf from another angle. I'm not saying it would be any more or less tuf then yours but everyone has their own problems, rich, poor, white, black. I live my life not giving a f*** about the next guys life. My family and friends I will always be here for. I worked for everything I have and no one handed me anything. I everyone would just mind their own business and say what they think and mean this country would be a better place. Not sure why I even went into that but thats how I feel.

Edit: Ron Paul was the only quality option for pres. Clinton is a socialist C

I didn't criticize what you said, I criticized how you said it. Arguments with wild assumptions, no evidence, and bad conclusions.

Dude i'm from TX, I have nothin but respect for the south, I just hate those ignorant rednecks, u know which ones I'm talkin about, u know the ones who seem to be the only ones on the news who make people from the south look dumb, those r the ones I'm talkin about. u almost never see the ones from the south who deserve to be shown.

I pretty much agree.
Neither candidate is good, and our society will continue the decline until we get out of the democrat vs republican in the whitehouse trap. They both just continue to give the government more power and continue to take away our freedoms.

If you vote for a democrat; good bye economic freedom and as you dump all your cash over to the welfare state, make sure to say thanks.

If you vote for a republican; good bye social freedom.
