These are just my opinions, so I'd like to say that I'm not tryin to offend anyone, though I've never met a person who gets so much criticsm for their opinion than I do.
Todays society is just sinking deeper and deeper in the insanity. To take a line from FIight Club,"advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need."
That statement alone I believe is truer than ever now. Everyone just wants more and more and more and more and more. Damn I'd sleep in my car if I had to, most people would cry at the thought of that. I'd love to see a richy rich spend a day in a person like yours or my shoes, they'd lose their ****** mind, OVER THE ****** SHOES!!!!!!! And then pictures of celebrities eating something wierd, or drunk at a bar, or the false scandals that plague the newspapers time and time again. Who gives a shit, honestly? I ate a hotdog yesterday, everyone who eats a hotdog has to put in in their mouth at that loving angle, yet if a celeb does that their face is in pics everywhere with a hot dog. Celebs drunk at bars, okay I was under the impression that thats what you do at bars, who cares.
Is this really what we have sunk to, do we have nothing better to do than try to look in the window of our celebs, just to see what they're gonna do next, GET A F'ING LIFE PEOPLE.
I was talking to, ha surprise, a redneck that told me,"If you don't support the war, you don't support the troops." in that stupid slang accent they have. At that point I just walked away. I support the shit out of the troops but I don't see any reason for us to be cops for a country because they can't get over their own ****** differences and get over it. It seems liek we've lost sight on Osama, I haven't seen a report on what we're doin to catch him in almost a year, and he's the reason we started all this. Thats enough that convo could go on for days.
And what is really getting under my skin is this whole election thing comin up, Obama or McCain, choose wisely america cause boy did we **** up on the last one. Honestly I think Obama is gonna win just because of all the media about him being black, which is kind of sad. I'm not racist by any means, I think McCains an idiot, but if I'm at the hospital, I don't care if the doc is black, white, purple, yellow or green, I just want the best. I think Hillary really was the best candidate. Basically I don't think this country is ready for a black or female president, and what he have leftover is a moron, man I'm crossin my fingers on this one.
Anyways I think this country needs to sit back and realize what is goin on, and why all these other countries hate us, we are the most arrogant people in the worl, and not too rightfully so. I think that if we stop and think of what is really important in our lives, and for everyone its different, it'll open our eyes to some new oppurtunities and things of that nature.
just sum thoughts, now I want yours

Population's the enemy, always has been. the reason the world so quickly evolved from mom and pop to outsourcing jobs and bottom line financial thinking.
The fact is that we empower them, and though we see it, we lack the ability to do major change. It's all numbers. Trust me on that. Right now as the blind live life obliviously of their true environment the damage and brainwashing of current society values infects even more and at a young level.
I remember growing up in the mid 90's. I'm only 18 so I'm only looking back 10 to 13 years. I remember all the nicolodian shows. Have you seen the nick channel recently? It's straight sex and shallow values being taught.
It teaches people to shit on each other. The environment for young people isn't good. The media controlls the largely unconscious mass. The mass then controls the minority that sees things differently. By my age, very few people are unhypnotized by society, and the ones who aren't will at a later point usually succome to the brainwashing.
And this is not the forum for that.

well i wholeheartedly agree with you on the celebrity point. it is sickening to me that the outfit Paris Hilton wore when she went to the bathroom is more important than World news. i once saw a segway from the conflict in Iraq to the shoes Britney Spears was wearing. i don't understand how the conflict in Georgia and finding out the truth behind what is going on (evidence now points to Georgia as being the aggressor) does not take precedent over the amount of Drinks Lindsey Lohan had after dinner. i don't get why we idolize the biggest wastes of human life as they just make a fool of themselves with the ridiculous amounts of money that most of them just inherited. it is disgusting to me to know that these are the people with the wealth in our country and i always think that it is a shame that someone is going hungry in the United States while Paris Hilton buys a $300,000 purse only to go get drunk at a club while wearing it and be all over the news. its just disheartening. well, my rant is over.

It all comes down to greed. We're whores. Selling out to the highest bidder. When An-Busch sold to InBev, I was surfing the net to see the reaction to it, I can't tell you how many people said, "I don't care, I don't drink Budweiser." That response floored me. The liquor store I go to is owned by to Pakistania's, everytime I go in there (3 to 4 times a week) they just shake their heads and say "I can't beleive you sold Bud to a foreign country, Bud was Americana" What's next, sell Major League Baseball,? Harley?
People have no more pride of the country America. 9-11 happened. We raised our flags, we put on the bumber stickers that said, "GOD Bless America" and we sang the Star Spangled Banner loud at sporting events. And the beat went on. Politicians told us what we wanted to hear and then they got elected. Big Business runs this country and they have all the politicians on their payroll. In the 80's you had the Savings and Loans scandel, here it is 20 years later and the morgage scandels erupt. Energy prices go sky high. Food prices are soaring. You had Adelphia, WorldCom, Enron, Tyco etc. etc. screwing people. Now Bear Sterns, Freddie and Frannie are screwing people and the gov. bails them out. iI's all about the benjimens. We are a vote and that's it.
America has sold out and until WE THE PEOPLE take our country back, the same will continue. Until WE THE PEOPLE set aside partisan polictics, the same will continue. Until WE THE PEOPLE demand more from our ELECTED officals, the same will continure. Until WE THE PEOPLE stand up and say NO MORE the same will continue.

You have to remember that there are fake people out there who have nothing better to do then try to exploit yours, theres a reason why 3rd world countries are poor from the rich economies exploiting their resources which are plentiful. There are those who try to better their lives through yours, thats pretty much what the U.S. was founded on, the finder keepers losers weepers clause is in effect.
If you dont care about celebrities you dont have to watch the news, because if you havnt noticed the news is 9 parts spam and 1 part news, just try and imagine all the isolated incidents all around the world journalists wouldnt dare submit as news but as "unpleasent circumstances" and so called taboo.
The whole war issue is touchy because its hard to look the other way and be a hippie about this about an area of the world with religious fundamentalists so radical, stuck in the past and so deeply affected by religious texts most have no idea what biology, science or cosmology is. They'd actually use bio-warfare to kill off anyone who dosnt believe in their religion like the christians in the dark ages, you could make an argument that all societies are still stuck in the dark ages in terms of whats really important in life like how you should support the Earth instead of just worrying about the economy (maybe a healthy mix of both). It's pretty ridiculous to pick the economy over our planets health, without a planet theres no economy, so its oxymoronic to say that.
And this "pro-life" trend which works in with religion needs to stop when we have a population crisis which in turn would affect and kill other people and animals on a genocidal level and environmental level so in fact not "pro-life" we're going to reach a population max out in the next decade if not properly fixed perhaps inacting China's attitude of population control through controlling the amount of children you can have and if you have more than 1 child in China they reem you with taxes, I'm saying a more realistic version of this early attempt to help the problem.
I cant disagree about the arrogance but its only one chapter of why most of the world hates the U.S. This is a list of countries the U.S. has bombed since World War 2.
China (1945-46) Korea (1950-53) China (1950-53) Guatemala (1954) Indonesia (1958) Cuba (1959-60) Guatemala (1960) Belgian Congo (1964) Guatemala (1964) Dominican Republic (1965-66) Peru (1965) Laos (1964-73) Vietnam (1961-73) Cambodia (1969-70) Guatemala (1967-69) Lebanon (1982-84) Grenada (1983-84) Libya (1986) El Salvador (1981-92) Nicaragua (1981-90) Libya (1986) Iran (1987-88) Libya (1989) Panama (1989-90) Iraq (1991-2002) Kuwait (1991) Somalia (1992-94) Bosnia (1995) Sudan (1998) Afghanistan (1998) Yugoslavia (1999) Afghanistan (2001-02)
EDIT: Again this is just one reason why the "western world" is hated.
