* Dana White announced that Mike Swick will be added to the card but stopped short at saying who his opponent will be.
* Chicago is the UFC's #1 market for pay-per-view revenue.
* When all is said and done, UFC 90 will be the highest-grossing event in the 28-year history of the Allstate Arena, smashing Wrestlemania 22's record of 2.4 million dollars.
* As of Noon today, UFC 90's gate has already reached the two million dollar mark.
* White said Anderson Silva could potentially move up to light heavyweight again if he defeats Patrick Cote on October 25th.
* Furthermore, he even hinted at a possible GSP vs. Silva bout at an undetermined catch weight.
* The winner of the Diego Sanchez vs. Thiago Alves bout will receive a welterweight title shot.
* Speaking of Alves, he vowed to have no more issues making weight at 170 lbs.

UFC 90 was a great looking card already. Swick makes it pretty incredible. Can't wait to see who he is fighting. I've been screaming for a catchweight bout between GSP and Spider for a year now. I can't wait to see them pull that one together. I'd much rather see that than GSP/Penn.

I agree the only problem is then the middle weight and welter weight division will be held up from having Title fights. Which makes the WW division completely tied up if this happens back to back.
Exciting fight yes but Idk kinda worries me that they could be doing this and tying everything up leaving deserving contenders waiting for long lengths of time. Kampmann should get a shot if he beats Nate hands down and Yushin should get the shot after Cote hands down. So I'm just a little buit worried on how this is al going to work out.
But then again I'm not gonna question Dana White who has proven smarter than most over and over again just when you think he is out of his mind so Dana do what ya gotta do.

Sanchez does not deserve a title shot
exactly I think if Sanchez wins he should have to fight Koscheck for a Title shot. If Alves wins of course he deserves a title shot with Koscheck waiting for his or fighting another tough guy along the lines of Lytle perhaps Swick but them being at the same camp don't know if that would work.

Honestly, Koscheck needs to be in Deigo's spot I think, but it will still be a good fight...
Swick vs Johnson?? Anthony is supposed to return in October??

sanchez is my favorite fighter, but i agree with both of you. sanchez should have to beat alves and then one more opponent to get a title shot. maybe a rematch with kos.

theres no way sanchez should get a title shot if he beats alves he would be on a 3 fight winning streak, but I think if he wins he should definetely have to fight KOS again, Koscheck deserves a title shot before Diego

gsp vs kos II won't sell as much as gps vs sanchez, and i think it'd be more of an exciting fight because diego is good off his back and can hold his own on the feet

ya but sanchez would get scrapped by Fitch if they fought so i dont think he deserves a title shot. It should be a awesome weekend of fights! i wish i could attend it. Im still waiting for it to come up here to the NE part of our country.
