Seriously. For his latest adventure, Tanner plans, in his own words, "on going so deep into the desert, that any failure of my equipment, could cost me my life." He still needs to address some medical issues before returning to UFC, which he'll probably do upon his return from the desert...if he returns.

why is this considered nuts? Its not like he is the first to do this.. heck given the chanc eI'd join him sounds like an awesome experience.. nothing like being out in the wilderness to get intouch with ones self and to push yourself to your limits.. this might put him mentally where he needs to be for a return to the cage.. if he survives in the dessert.. the dangers of the ring will seem nothing to him mentally.. plus physically he will be in great shape pretty much having shed all un needed body weight... I wish him luck.. I wish I was in a position to do something like this... For me it has always been wanting to tackle the Appilachian trail starting in Maine and going all the way to Georgia... roughly a 6 month trip

Tanner is a crazy SOB, him and Jim Morrison could have been friends. I hope to see Tanner fight again in the UFC, even if he has seen his the peak of his career.

The scary thing is when I saw this I wasn't surprised or shocked. Which makes me very sad. I hope he knows what hes doing def. dangerous but I hope he gets his gambling under control and pretty much his life back in control.

I am growing weary of Tanner and all his BS. The Gambling, the blogs, and the adventures Just fight, and if your going to fight, train. Dont run off to the desert. Personally if i dont even see him in the octagon again i wont be disapointed.

An awesome experience to say the least. Khaos, i couldn't agree more lol, but would rather him have an opponent that is at least somewhat note worthy

The gambling thing was blown way out of proportion and his blogs rock! I'v always got a lot of time for Tanner, he's a awesome guy and although I don't ever see him holding the title again I hope he does fight. As for the trek its a very cool thing to do. He's a adventurer and I wish him nothing but luck with it. The worlds a better place with people like Evan Tanner in it.
