Gabe was a good fighter before TUF, and will be again. I think you all forget that Gabe fought in the UFC before TUF, he made weight for that fight, he did lose but still he put forth the effort. I actually think had Gabe been able to make weight during TUF he would have won the contract. We have heard everyone say before that not everyone is good at cutting weight. Many of the greats have said this time and time agian. Look at Thiago Alves, how many times has this guy missed weight? Been unable to cut down? At least 3 or 4 in the UFC alone. You think he didnt go through similar things like Gabe in the process?
Take it from someone who trains to be, and trains with fighters...me, every fighter espically the ones that have trouble going through the process to cut wieight, have similar problems, and give up time and time agian. Usually it does come down to someone forcing...pulling, throwing them back into a sauna/etc. The only difference is Gabe's was highly publicised on a tv show for millions to see.
What im saying is every fighter goes through similar shit that Gabe did, you just dont see, and hear about it. Instead usually the fighter gets help, and makes the cut, or he doesnt and someone says he didnt make wieght but the had a catch.
Move one people, and give Gabe a chance to redeed himself, because he will, i promise you that, and if he is allowed back in the UFC (which he should why would Dana hold such a grudge agianst him when people dont make the cuts with some frequencey and are allowed to fight in the UFC) then Gabe will be a prominent name.
