"The organization has canceled their planned September 20 event in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Not postponed. Not rescheduled. Straight-up canceled. They still have plans for an October 4 show on CBS, so this is far from a death knell for Elite XC, but it’s not something to celebrate, either."
Hopefully this isn't the first crack in the foundation.

Not looking good...maybe that's why Shields keeps eyeballing other promotions' fighters.

Considering they're doing a Strikeforce show that night, the appropriate question might be "what took them so long to cancel/postpone this one?"

Elite XC is not looking good IMO, they need to be getting things straighted out, and get some good events started up.

Well if Elitexc goes under that is just a chance for the UFC to scoop up the CBS deal....I would much rather see UFC then EXC on more free events.....

Canceled shows are almost always the first sign of impending doom for MMA orgs. Sucks though, the more televised MMA the better.

I knew this was going to happen, Elite XC just doesn't have the depth in their roster to be having so much events, their talent level is very low too. Elite XC is fading away slowly and they are losing to much money with their lackluster events.

Between Showtime and CBS these guys are spreading themselves a bit thin. They should concentrate on their next CBS production. if for any other reason other than reaching the average fan, not the people that are on here posting. Put their best fights on national tv. I was disapointed to see that a womans match made the primetime cut and the HW title fight between Bigfoot and Eilers wasnt included. Nothing against the women fighting but they arent going to pull in the main demagraphic for MMA, IMO.

An upcoming show for the ProElite owned Cage Rage promotion has also just been cancelled (EliteXC is also owned by ProElite).
I wonder if trouble is brewing at ProElite HQ.......
