I think he is just spewing out high numbers so that Mark Cuban will buck up and pay him a Sh** load than he can retire.

at Randy and his greediness, keep makin' movies bro you cant beat Fedor and that much money is not worth going toward a man at the end of his career.
Randy, you should have just took your loss to Nog in stride instead of claiming you dont get enough money when your one of Dana's favorites and its pretty obvious to everyone you get enough money.

I think Randy is trying to set a bar, not that is not a crazy bar, but I think he is maybe trying to get 3 mil out of this for a retirement fund, but after taxes and medical expenses and the chance of never fighting again if Fedor smashes him, I can understand his want for financial security, especially with the hype that this fight has earned, but chances are he will make pretty close to 6 million anyways after everything with the promotions and the payouts and the ppv percentage, its not a impossible price, but it'd be impossible for the promotion alone to pay that. I always thought Xtreme Couture would be his retirement fund, but I guess that gold plated shark tank and a new jet upgrade are pretty crucial, not to mention diamond rims on your tricked out Hummer with the UFC crossed out on it.

shit give me like half a mil and I'll go get crushed by fedor.
You save 9.5 million and get the same result. I'll shave the top of my head and change my name to randy if it completes the illusion.

This number is absurd. That PPV would have to be stacked, and then you run into the problem of affording to pay the rest of the fighters. There is no way he will get this much for a fight. I doubt this will ever happen.

I'm sure that this fight would be a good draw, but the UFC isn't going to come out of pocket that much for this fight. I mean I would imagine they are going to do pretty well with the gsp and bj penn fight coming up ya know? This would be a great fight, but there are other fights out there that will make a ton of money without having to pay an astronomical paycheck to the fighters. Affliction had a really good response from their first card as well, but I doubt they want to pay that much money to see those two go at it. What were fedor's numbers for the sylvia fight??? something just over 1 mil, and yet fedor is still ready to come back to work when it's time to fight. Couture had a ton of support until he released a number....I mean there were lots of people who would say, "yeah fighters should get paid more in mma." but come on Randy...you just lost a ton of support especially considering the initial comment about leaving the ufc not being about the money. Did you guys see the press conference after the machida vs ortiz fight? Tito told Dana that all of the fighters in the ufc were just his little slaves and not really fighters. One of the reporters asked machida about the triangle/armbar that tito caught him in during the last minute of the fight and machida's response was he didn't care how tight the triangle was and that he wasn't going to tap even if Tito broke his arm. One of the reporters quickly asked tito if that response was one of a slave or a fighter. Dana made the point that the guys who were there to fight fought...and the guys who were so caught up in the paycheck often lost sight of the sport that brought them their fame in the first place. It's sad to see one of the legends of the sport appear to be so greedy and lose so much respect from so many fans. I hope it all sorts itself out and we get to see the fight. All I know is that if I were going to promote a fight....and pay a fighter that level of money....I probably wouldn't do it for the guy who dipped out on his contract a year ago. I wish Randy the best....props to fedor for still taking care of business despite not being able to pick and chose opponents.

Anyone know how Pay per view buys work? Who all gets a cut of your $45? cause 700,000 @ 45 a copy is 31,500,000 if you paid each of the 6 million thats 12 off the top plus the other fighters and all your other costs I have no Idea what it cast to put on a show so I won't even try to pretend.
Now all that being said I will never call a guy greedy, Money runs this world and with being a fighter you only have a small window to make that money. Everyone cuts their own deal and if he thinks he can get 6-10 who are we to judge? Not to mention how many more buys would they get just by promoting the fact they are putting on the fight of they century and paying out 12-20 million to the main event. That kind of money would draw intrest from ppl who normaly wouldn't care.
