According to Strikeforce VP Mike Afromowitz, Strikeforce Middleweight Champion Cung Le is expected to return to the promotion in early '09. No word yet on a potential opponent but former champion Frank Shamrock is thought to be a possibility, as is top Japanese fighter Kazuo Misaki if he beats Joe Riggs next month.

Even tho Frank vs Cung was a great fight Frank exposed Cung's aura of invincibility and showed he dosnt have that much power in his punches and besides takedown defense we have no idea what his ground game or much of his grappling is like, his san shou fights are amazing but I'm hoping he fights Akiyama, Misaki or any top 15 to test where he really is. I think its crazy that people actually give Cung a chance against Anderson, it would be exciting but ultimatly Anderson is the best MW anywhere.

yeah, Cung Le definitely isn't the best fighter out there. He isn't a bad fighter either; i've seen a lot worse.... but there is something to be said for pure entertainment value, he must draw a large audience and he seems likeable enough.
I'm a fan
