Karo is as good as he decides to be. He can't get by on his natural talent anymore. We'll see if he has realized that or not.
The UFC isn't doing him any favors with this match up as Karo is used to having a major advantage with his judo. Not this time.

Despite his last performance, Karo via UD. Yoshida is good, but he's no Alves. Submitting War Machine isn't the same as submitting Karo either... and I don't even like Karo.

OK anyway, I was picking Karo by UD but I'm starting to change my pick to Yoshida by TKO. Plus I think Manny's loss might be an omen for things to come.
BTW IMO Karo's becoming the next Deigo Sanchez, I used to love the guy but now I can't stand him and this is coming from a guy who likes Nate Diaz

I agree with the others, Yoshida via unanimous decision. It will be a war though because Karo has to win this fight if he wants to remain in the picture. He better get his ass in shape and be ready for a war though. He is slipping and another loss will put him back that much further.

I'm not counting him out. I think he'll do the same thing he's been doing for years now. He'll beat some pretty tough competition, work his way into contention, and then blow a title shot. Like I said, Karo, UD.

I don't think it has much to do with that. Yoshida is on the come up and has huge potential. He's riding a 9 fight winning streak, with impressive victories over legitimate competition such as Katsuya Inoue and Akira Kikuchi. And finishing War Machine in under a minute is pretty impressive in itself if you ask me. Add to all this the fact that Karo's performances have been sub par as of late, and I wouldn't blame anyone for picking Yoshida in this one.
All that said, i'm still going with Karo via UD. It's really a close call and could go either way though.

Surprised it made it to 2 pages before someone made that reference, lol.
But I agree, I have Karo Parisyan by Decisyan. I like his wrestling and ground control. Will probably wager on Yoshida though.

Wow, how did Karo become the underdog. Let me remind you all Karo is only 25 and has already beaten some tough guys: Nick Diaz, Matt Serra, Ryo Chonan, Chris Lytle, Drew Ficket, etc...I wouldnt say he's had a huge advantage over any of these guys.
He's only lost to champions...GSP, Sean Sherk x2 and future champs Thiago Alves and Diego Sanchez. The Diego fight could have went either way.
I gotta stick with Karo by....decision. Sticking him in one of my parlays too

i gotta go with karo with UD. i don't think i'm the first to say that tho. IMO he will control on the ground. he is the superior fighter, and everyone loses at some point. he'll be a winner again.

I've never really enjoyed Karo's fighting style and had some heated discussions with another playground member as to how good or where in the division Karo stands. I stand firm in my belief from 6-8 months ago that Karo will be the 170 gatekeeper for the UFC for quite some time. He is a good fighter with a terrible attitude and suspect work ethic.
Karo has got the tools but needs the motivation like BJ found. If he truly has found his motivation as some of you say I can see him pulling another decision out but for now and until I see his physique and demeanor at the weigh in.
Yoshida 2nd TKO.
