I cant pick this fight I go back in forth, I think if Thiago beats Diego itll be in round 1 or 2. If Diego beats Thiago itll be in round 3 or for a decision. Diego I believe has way better conditioning than Alves but power strength and technique goes to Thiago Alves.

i'm really looking forward to this fight. i think when sanchez lost 2 in a row that made him step everything up a level. i've always thought this guy would be champ one day or at least fight for a title a time or 2. every aspect of his game has gone up a level. i'm interested to see what he can do against alves because he has obviously stepped it up as well. i've got to go with diego on this one.

you could flip a coin to pick a winner, but im going with diego to win. Thiago should have just waited for his title shot because a loss will not get him a title shot.

Don't know if its that simple.I think after failing to make weight against Hughes Alves had to take this fight if he wants his title shot.
At any rate, I'm going to take Alves in this one. He has the superior striking which I think will make the difference in this fight. If it goes to the ground, Alves' submission game is pretty good to the point where I think he can hang with Sanchez. Sanchez has shown he has a good chin so I dont think he'll get ko'd or tko'd, but I think Alves should take this in a dominating performance. But this fight is so close, who really knows what will happen.

i can admit right now im a diego nuthugger but a reason why im picking him to win this fight is because i think if he takes it to the ground he can get a GnP victory. even tho thiago has good BJJ. obviously the stand up edge is to thiago but diegos stand up isnt that bad after the fight vs luigi but luigi is nowhere close thiago

im pulling for diego, but i think alves is too big and strong for him, if diego couldn't get fioravanti to the ground he won't be able to get alves down, and if he doesn't get alves down he doesn't have a chance to win.

Diego can win if he keeps distance and pulls of a Machida decision.
Alves can win every other way. I am excited to see how Diego handles Alves' clinch and what happens if it goes to the ground.

I'm not sure that diego can dictate the pace enough to win this fight. alves is a big strong guy and i don't know if diego can take and keep him down. so if the fight stays on their feet, alves has a huge advantage. i'm guessing 2nd round ko/tko win for alves.

This is a really tough fight to pick for me, im leaning towards Thiago because I think he can catch Diego will a k.o. punch at any time, maybe if diego is able to get him down he could win, but he cant stand with thiago, but the question is will diego try to get it to the ground or will he go into the fight thinking he can stand and bang with alves.

Things are going to get ugly real quick for Nightmare. Alves by vicious KTFO at whatever time he decides to unload. Sanchez=Exposed

this isn't really a tough pick for me. Diego's fight with Luigi proved that he is extremely vulnerable to anyone with a sprawl. if Luigi could give Diego problems and even win a round (which i thought he did) i am 100% sure that Thiago will be able to win this fight. if Luigi can keep it standing and land punches, then Thiago can too. Diego has been exposed and Thiago will capitalize. i just feel that Diego has fallen in love with boxing and that he will test himself on the feet. when he starts to realize he is outmatched on the feet, he will go to his bull-rush shot which Thiago should be able to easily avoid and land the winning strike in the second round.
Thiago R2 KO

Sanchez by TKO! Round 3.
Sanchez will wear him down with his non stop attack. I think its pretty obvious he has MUCH better cardio than Thiago. However, its a fight, anything can happen, especially with these 2! I cant wait!
