Strikeforce today confirmed that their Light Heavyweight Champion, Bobby Southworth, will next defend against former UFC standout Renato "Babalu" Sobral on 9/20 at the Playboy Mansion. This fight will be the first of 2 in about 3 weeks for Babalu, who also is to fight again for Affliction in October.

southworth will be lucky if he makes it into 2nd rd.....on a sidenote, thats pretty sad when a quality promotion like strikeforce has bobby southworth as theyre champ, and yes i drank my haterade this morning

Are you guys kidding me!? I'm shocked Southworths last performance hasn't earned him a pound for pound ranking. Who has Babalu fought in his career that is on par with Bobby!?
Just kidding by the way lol. Obvious fight. Nothing really to add that hasn't been said. Babalu should probably stomp him in the first round.
