Id say why would you want either of these fighters to loose at this point..They each only have one true title defense...I know that it will be a big draw, but let them defend there title a couple more times and build it up even bigger and still get a big draw when they are defending.....I'm not saying i don't want to see this fight I'm just saying i don't think it makes much sense at this point in time they both have a lot of good fights in their own division...
No... They don't. Sorry but they do not both have "a lot of good fights in their division" that I can see. BJ has absolutely none, and GSP basically has Thiago Alves, This is the only person at welterweight that I think has a legitimate chance to beat GSP (without pulling a serra).
I mean, I guess it depends on what you consider to be a good fight, maybe we have different opinions on that, but I just don't see any good fights for BJ and I only see one for GSP against a guy who still needs to show us he can make weight consistently before getting a title shot. Personally when I think "good fight" I think of a fight where both fighters have a legitimate chance to beat the other, and where the popular opinion isn't that one fighter is significantly better than the other.
If you can tell me what you think these fights are and why they would be good maybe I'll understand this better, because people keep saying it and I genuinely don't know which fights they're talking about. (Not being sarcastic, I really would like someone to let me know which fights they are talking about)

I think LW is for Penn and i think GSP has progessed from their first fight and will win the second fight.
Yeah, but as you can see in BJ's last few fights he has improved as well. And I believe that he was already the better fighter.

there are rules in place about how often a fighter needs to fight to retain their belt and as long as bj does that i think he should be able to fight wherever he pleases. not to mention the fact that he is the only guy who has a legitimate chance of beating gsp at 170 pounds. bj has proven he can compete at 170 pounds. honestly i think people worry too much about titles and not enough about wanting to see great fights, like bj and gsp. i mean this is a seriously exciting matchup, especially as a five rounder. there are no fights that get me really excited for bj at lw so im all for the move up. imo florian should be the next up but when you look at how he fared vs sherk and how sherk fared vs bj i just dont care that much about that fight, even though i love k flo and bj. i know mmath is stupid but in this case, and the total domination bj has shown to other lw's (and sherk showed for that matter) i think it is somewhat applicable.
imho people should worry about awesome fights more and the title picture less.

BJ looked huge at the post fight!!!
maybe it was just the camera angle, but anyways I still think GSP will win this time again. to say in there last fight, that BJ owned round 1, then gassed. IMO he didnt gas, GSP just figured him out. I've noticed something in all of GSP's fights since hes been champ the first time. He takes first bit of rnd 1 easy, to calm his nerves, then he goes out and implement his gameplan.
but never ever count BJ out, he is rediculous, and right now, he looks Unstoppable.
GSP round 5 UD, in an AWESOME war for New Years.

BJ has done said he would like to fight every three to four months for the next ten years so I think we are going to see plenty of BJ.
