After a 15-minute emasculation of Heath Herring (Pictures), even in the face of other notable Saturday night happenings, I was fully aware Brock Lesnar (Pictures) was going to dominate my inbox come Sunday morning. However, I expected most of the discussion to be centered on his obvious potential as a heavyweight, with requests for me to impersonate Joe Silva by forecasting Lesnar's future fighting engagements.

Instead, I have been swarmed with and puzzled by dozens and dozens of choleric and venomous messages from incensed fans who have apparently suffered damaged psyches at the hands of Brock Lesnar's in-cage antics.

Yeah. Whether people like sherdog or not, Jordan Breen is a great MMA reporter and gets my vote for most knowledgeable guy in the sport today.

Agreed. This whole "issue" has been blown way out of proportion.

agreed and I think we need to move on- Loads of people were on the brock hater wagon- He is talented or gifted or whatever- hes no Kimbo- Hes no Bobb App- he is a world class athelete that is taking his trasition into an MMA carreer SERIOUSLY--

If you dont think he is great for mma your wrong- HE is a huge draw- and he did not want any gimmies..... no "cans" as we say.

lets move on- Get over it.

I agree leave the man alone what he did was no different than Chuck screaming or Tito digging his grave or Anderson doing everything that he dose after a win. He won he dominated and the Crazy hose did nothing to stop him. If him riding him like a bull was so bad why did everyone think Randy spanking Tito was so funny. People still want to believe Brook is not the real deal and you know what he is I think he is more of the real thing than any thing we have seen in a long time and if the man learns some BJJ the HW world better start to step up there game and that goes for all HW's out there.

with all of you. People cheering for him to lose had nothing after his dominance so conveniently they have another reason not to like Lesnar.

Good read and whather people like it or not Brock Lesnar is going to be a big part of the HW division for a while. He showed Saturday that he is for real. No joke Herring has to still be lying in bed after that beating. Props to Heath, those knees to the ribs/kidneys were brutal.

I think a lot of what Brock was doing had to do with the amount of pressure he put on himself and that Heath was talking so much smack. When I seen him smile it was like he finaly realized that he could do this.

I think once he gets used to smashing peoples faces in he will get better.

I personally had no problems with the lasso, but I didn't like it when he screemed at the crowd.

I could have done without Cheick Kongo's "belt wearing motions" at the post interview

I really disagree. That might be true of a lot of people, but I was honestly one of the guys defending him before this fight. Look up any Lesnar thread, I backed him 100%. I truly just hate it when people are disrespectful to their opponents. I believe martial arts in general are about respect and discipline above all else and I think a display like that is disgraceful. Sorry, but I was absolutely not looking for a reason to hate Brock, I was really pulling for him, but now I'm pretty disappointed in him. His fighting was impressive, his attitude was not.

The reason I disagree that his celebration was the same as other people's is that he was directly demeaning his opponent, not just celebrating his win. None of the other celebrations he listed involve demeaning their opponents. Gomi doesn't stand on his opponent's back and pretend to surf then laugh and point at them, he stands on the ropes and pumps the crowd up. It's a pretty big difference IMO.

You know if brock had only done the lasso I would have had no problem with that at all. It's the sitting on his back and pretending to ride him like a bull and laughing and pointing that I think are uncalled for. I have no problem with a post fight celebration, but that's pretty demeaning shit honestly.
