“Fifty times we thought it was over and we were buying PRIDE, then we hear they were talking to these guys and these guys and kept string us along. So when Mirko Cro Cop’s deal came up, we went after Mirko aggressively, signed him, and that really started to unravel PRIDE."
Interesting video.

Doubt it, he would have done the same thing in Japan.

This doesn't even make sense. Sure he lost a couple in the UFC, but it's not like he was on the verge of his career being over going into it. It's not like his career is over now, either. He just got a win and he's got an exciting fight coming up. Where is that damn negative props button again?

Cro Cop never looked right in the octagon... he looked stiff and very uncomfortable in the UFC for some reason. I really wanted to see him fight Kharitonov next but Overeem will do.

I agree 100%. Even against Sanchez, it wasn't the same CC we got to know. and im a big CC fan, but UFC just isnt for him. I would like to see him fight Overeem. if not, than Arlovski. AA vs CC would be HW fight of the year!

If this is actually true it shows how clueless Zuffa are about Japan. PRIDE started dying when they lost their TV deal. Losing CC had nothing to do with death of PRIDE.
