Thales Leites (13-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) and Goran Reljic (8-0 MMA, 1-0) have agreed to meet in a middleweight bout at October's UFC 90 pay-per-view eveent.
A source close to Leites said bout agreements were recently signed and that fight is now official.
Leites was expected to fight in September at UFC Fight Night 15 but will instead return at UFC 90, which takes place Oct. 25 at Allstate Arena just outside Chicago.
Leites will go for his fith straight victory in the UFC since suffering a unanimous-decision loss to Martin Kampmann at his 2006 octagon debut. The 27-year-old Brazilian most recently scored a split-decision victory over Nate Marquardt at UFC 85, though the win was aided by Marquardt's two costly point deductions.
Leites will now meet undefeated Crotian Reljic, who will drop to middleweight for the fight. The fighter, who competed throughout Eastern Europe before signing with the UFC, scored a second-round TKO of Wilson Gouveia at UFC 84. It was his eighth straight victory -- and the seventh to come via stoppage.

reljic is getting submitted. leites has shown good enough standup and huge heart to survive and wait for a mistake.

I respectfully disagree. Goran trains with Roger Gracie on the regular. I'm sure his sub defense is way above par. If Goran doesn't get the (T)KO, I see him winning by UD. Although, anythings possible.

im picking leeites but wagering heavily on relijic ... he looked alot bigger then goveia in there fight and that was 205 ... so i see him giving leites a extremly hard time but i cant pick against leites but i do have an upset possiblity here

Good solid fight and it sucks that both Gouveia and Reljic dropped to 185. I think I will take Leites by Decision, I do not see him submitting Goran.

goran is going to win this fight and put thales back out of contention. Goran will be the better striker and the bigger stronger fighter. Thales will get beat on the feet and be desperate for a takedown and wont submit goran and eventually get tko'd by goran.

I like this matchup. Reljic showed potential, and could be really good at 185, Leites is hungry and looking for a title shot. I like Leites, I think he is more complete at this point.

I'm taking Reljic to win this one, I think he can get past any submissions Leites has to offer, and definately out strike him as well, therefore I choose Goran Reljic by TKO in the second.

I think it depends on how Goran handles the cut. Goran impressed me against Gouveia and I doubt Leites will bring anything new to the table. Judges maybe...

I'm taking Reljic, picks and for wagers. He will put a beating on Leites. Remember what he did to Gouveia.
From the Nevada State Athletic Commission:
Wilson Gouveia — The American Top Team-trained fighter sustained nasal and maxillary sinus fractures that need to be cleared by an Ear Nose and Throat ENT specialist, as well as broken ribs that need to be cleared by a doctor, or no contest until November 21. His minimum suspension will last until July 24 and there is no contact allowed until July 9.
Broken face + broken ribs = a broken Leites.
