WEC Welterweight Champion Carlos Condit seems to be toeing the Zuffa company line-for now. He wants to fight UFC guys, but he says he'll do it as the WEC Champion.

I think he gets dominated by UFC WW's so he should prolly stay in WEC and then UFC send some of their below average WW's to WEC and see how they do there.

i think he could compete with most of the WW's in the ufc. i think other than a few guys, he'd be able to hold is own.

I could see Condit being a good gatekeeper in the UFC, but never holding the title.....Just way to much talent in that division.

condit is a top 10 welterweight, but not a top 5....everybody else in the top 10 not named shields is in the ufc....he'd be competitive with everybody but his big time wins would not be in the top 5 and have close battles with the rest......hes got all the tools, but he is also a small ww even with his height...he needs to pack on lbs to the point were hes cutting a good amount of weight to be a winner against top echelon and needs take down defense baaaaddddd.....he also needs to tighten up more, not so erratic....if these things arent solved, a no. 10 ranking and a ceiling of the wec belt is all he gets

his only downfall would be he would get out muscled by some of the other top ww's. but carlos condit has some of the best stiking and jj in all of mma. there are so many interesting fights for him in the ufc. zuffa shouldn't hold this guy back any longer.

Completely agree with gipper. Condit would get out muscled by the top few WW in the UFC at this time. GSP, FItch, Koscheck, Alves, and Diego would IMO definitely take Condit, but if Condit can really beef up and work harder on his conditioning (because the guys in the UFC would definitely push him harder than he is currently being pushed), because in all reality Condit's striking and jj are top notch, he's just as good as any WW in the world in being incredibly real rounded. His only problem would be size, you'd see a lot of gnp or lay and pray against him, but even with Condit's current size if any WW if the UFC wasn't carefully on the top Condit could definitely sub them for his back. Condit is a great MMA fighter, he just seems to be one of those guys who is at a disadvantage with his weight being an issue (he's just too tall to fight at 155, unless he just loses all his muscle mass, which is ridiculous and most top WW are just going to be to strong for him) Wish him all the best though, great fighter.
