according to mmaweekly.com
tyson griffin will fight sean sherk, i know this fight was rumored for ufc 89 a while back but with so many fight annouced it looked like this fight would be pushed back to chicago just like the alves vs sanchez fight. great fight with winner getting title shot if bj penn does do vacant light weight title winner of florian /huerta vs griffin vs sherk for vacant belt sounds pretty good. they are the top 4 in their weight class.
this will easily go all three rounds, i do see sherk much stronger than griffin. both have the cardio to go, should be interesting fight this could have been a co main event, great card so far

How frickin difficult is this to call? Honestly, thier wrestling is about even... so I'll give Tyson the edge on jujitsu and striking. Griffin. SD.

I think sherk wins this UD, unless he tries to use his gameplan of just standing, except tyson wont have the reach of bj penn.

Sherk UD. I think he will control position on the ground with strength and win there.

Sherk will take him down at ease, then lay there for 5 minutes.

UD
*15 minutes
But really, if Frankie Edgar used that gameplan with success I don't see why Sherk couldn't.

Really tough fight to call. The wrestling is prety even, but I think Sherk has the strength advantage. Ju Jitsu goes to Griffen. Standing I think is alot closer then some people think. Griffen has some of the best standup at 155, but Shirk can more then hold his own. He got beat standing against BJ Penn, but come on... It was against BJ Penn! I haven't decided who I think will win yet, because I just heard about it right now. But my first reaction, is that I'm stoaked on this fight.

i think this fight goes the distant with sherk winning....griffin is no joke....i think the difference here will be the size factor....sherk will win by utilizing ground countrol....he has excellent submission defense, will be the bigger fighter girth-wise, better wrestler....the gas tank is about even, the chin is about even, submissions go to griffin, but hes not good enough to win the fight that way against sherk....standing, i might give an edge to griffin because of the diversitiy of his strikes, but sherk is certainly no slouch, he has excellent boxing, he displayed it during the penn fight even tho penns reach nullified anything he did....but neither have the power to finish the fight standing tho...sherk ud, as usual

I know some people think that their wrestling is about equal. I disagree...I think Sherk has a distinct advantage in the wrestling department, which will give him the UD.
