Dave Meltzer reported that Tom Attencio will allegedly ask fighters to take a 50% pay cut to work the Las Vegas show in October. Zach Arnold interviewed Josh Barnett, and reports on his reply HERE.

haha! maybe the ufc knows what they're doing. honestly though, the ufc needs to pay their fighters more than they do.

Some of them are paid accordingly, but guys like Lindland and Sylvia are getting way way waaaaay above what they're worth.

the thing is, unless Affliction has an event every 3 months, they cant use the same fighters every event, which is the only way people are going to watch. And they sure as hell cant afford to pay the fighters what they have been. Im not a fight promoter or anything but it seems kinda simple in this case. I see 2 or 3 mediocre cards (maybe with a big main event) more before they call it quits.

This tells me that Affliction lost more than they thought they would on their first event. This could spell out trouble for this promotion.

One report said they are offering 50% pay cut in exchange for a weaker opponent and the promise of 150% pay next time.

If big Tim took a 50% cut he would still be making 300,000 more then he did in the UFC.

I don't see how they can pay TIMMAY!! $1.2 million if that report is accurate. That's MAYBE Fedor money.
