An event that is getting absolutely slept on is WEC 35 coming up on August 3. Three title fights are being shown: Carlos Condit vs. Hiromitsu Miura, Brian Stann vs. Steve Cantwell, and Jamie Varner vs. Marcus Hicks. As far as big names go, the card doesn’t hold much weight with the casual fan but when is the last time that the WEC let us down? I, for one, am looking forward to Varner vs. Hicks the most out of those three fights. I feel it’s the most competitive matchup of the whole lineup. Here’s a couple videos from the WEC’s YouTube channel to get you ready for the fight.

i hope varner takes this. hicks has great power and a guillotine choke. i feel varner possesses a lot more skill. also, i feel that varner would do better in the ufc. this is mostly because he is simply a more well rounded fighter.

I' ve fought Jamie Varner many times (real fights, in the streets)...and always came up short.

So whenever I see him fight I always want him to get his ass kicked because I hate him, but deep inside I want him to win because it gives me credibility.

Hicks posseses the power and ability to give Varner fits in there fight. But, I am still routing for Varner. Although Hicks has a real good chance to win.
