Unintentionally, but from a recap I'm reading it was ugly.

Article

I imagine video of this will be on SportsCenter today, but gotta feel really bad for the Detroit assistant coach who tried to break it up, knocking Lisa Leslie down in the process, he's no stranger to this-he went into the crowd to try and break up the Pistons-Pacers brawl in '04 when Ron Artest went into the stands. Especially considering what Mahorn did-he was trying to break it up and protect his bench, but still, he's going to take a lot of flak just because, even though Leslie wasn't hurt and he said he would never do anything like that, he did push a woman to the ground in the process. We'll see what happens.

Here's some opinion piece on what women can learn from men when it comes to sports.

She touches on the "brawl" too.

Satirical in nature...

My first thought was have Gina show them how it's done...anyway, suspensions got handed down today. Plenette Pierson, the instigator, got 4 games. Rick Mahorn and 2 players each got 2 games. 7 players got 1 game. Cheryl Ford, who got tangled with Pearson early, suffered a torn ACL and while not suspended she is done for the year. And perhaps the oddest thing coming out of this-Detroit has signed Nancy Lieberman to a 10-day contract, making her the oldest WNBA player ever...50. Whoa, she's almost as old as my mother.

The most pathetic fight I have ever seen.

The media only made a big deal out of this because they are trying to make WMBA more popular.

I think Rick Mahorn was thinking he still had Bill Laimbeer on the court with him to knock some people around.
