With Fedor only making $300k for his affliction fight, it gets rid of the "he took the money" argument in signing with M1.

Im pretty sure Cro Cop was earning more than this in the UFC.

It just makes me more sure that he declined UFC's offer soley due to their unreasonable one-sided contract.

We really don't know how much he made. There is a good chance that he was paid bonuses or in other ways that are not reported by the CSAC. I highly doubt that undercard guys were paid more or the same amount as him when he was promoted as the main draw.

I agree...don't forget who sponsors all of the fighters on their card. It would be pretty easy to give someone a hefty sponsorship paycheck...and it would fly below the radar.

He made 300k from affliction, M-1 may have paid the rest of his 2 million from their cut.

I don't see the problem in the fighters getting paid a ton. We pay $50 a fight. I would rather see that go into the fighters pockets than in the pockets of dana and co.

the money issue is settled other ways than thru official salaries, we all know this

UFC's talks w/ Fedor didn't end because of money they ended because the two sides couldn't agree on other terms. What those terms are will always only be rumors.

The contract fedor was looking to sign is the same one every other fighter signs. He wanted to do sambo tournaments. Dana cant risk him getting injured and delaying his fights. the same policy 300 other fighters deal with. Im sure dana will end up getting fedor and hype him up as the best ever.

I agree that Dana did not want him entering Sambo tourneys but that is bullshit that he will get injured in a Sambo tourney when he allows his fighters compete in BJJ tourneys. The chances of injury are about even in both IMO.

The only think I don't understand is they'll let people do Abu Dhabi (grappling chammpionships) and other such things

here's the thing, i dont like a lot of thing dana does but he is the boss, he puts the fights on takes all the crap from people makes sure fighter are still ok to fight he does a lot, and for 1 fighter to not sign with him he is not going to jump for him. dana is a smart guy and he knows fedor will come to him when he wants to, which will be sooner then later imo

Grappling and BJJ tourneys don't have anywhere near the rules of combat sambo. The rules he fight under over there include knees and elbows in all positions and legal throat and groin strikes. Much higher risks.

Ya, I know... But dude's don't even show up half the time and when they do they just get smashed... I really don't think it's too big of a deal... I would imagine that the forced signing of reddevil teammates and show in Russia were a couple of the straws that broke the camels back
