Quinton "Rampage" Jackson has been picked up by police again.

Sources say last night an Irvine police car was waved down by people near the place Rampage was staying who said he was acting weird. This, of course, following the insane chase the day before in which the UFC fighter hit several cars in his monster truck and was arrested at gunpoint.

We're told Irvine cops saw Rampage, deemed him a danger to himself and others, and took him to a hospital for observation.

Cops won't officially confirm if it's a psychiatric hold.

Story developing

I'm not certain that ANY fighter is completely sane. These guys get spun so tight, they all pretty much break one point or another. Where are Page's handlers in all of this?! Every fighter has someone whose sole purpose to to keep them in line. I'd say that person has failed completely.

It's a slippery slope once you've started the downward spiral. Hopefully they can get him straightened out soon. But it looks like rehab is closer then rematch at this point.

It is, this whole thing is totally out of left field to me, theres gonna be a whole lot more to unravel from this whole situation. How he can go from being on top of the mma world one day and 2 weeks later he's up on charges and his sanity is in question.

I really do hope he gets clear of all this, even though he's not my favorite Rampage is that fighter i'm always rooting for in the back of my mind

I posted this in another thread.

It's probably a 48 or 72-hour detention to evaluate his mental status.

He wasn't arrested.

I work in the mental health field. We order detentions on a regular basis. This involves calling the police to have them come to our office to escort the patient from the building, to the hospital/psych facility.

Sounds like Rampage is going through a sever depresion. From what I understand just before the original incident Rampage was at Throwdown and had watched his fight with Forest for the first time. Here is hoping he can get the help he needs to get his life and career back on track.

This is the best thing for him because a mental stable person doesn't go committing hit & runs and evading police. The whole time talking about god and how god is his new manager and trainer. Rampage has some major issue that need to be fixed before he ever thinks about fighting again. I hope the best for him and his family. I'm just glad he had good enough friends to get him the help he needs before this got even worse.

I wonder if the money or fame does this to people? Or if they were just the same way and we only notice because of the money and fame?

I hope Rampage the best, It might be a long time untill we see him in the ufc again though
