I know after leaving the UFC he did several international fights with varying degrees of success, and then made an appearance in ECW. Does anyone know what happened to him after? You do a google search on him and it seems like the dude has fell off the face of the Earth.

Wow that's a plast from the past.Glad someone remembers an oldie like that.
Well his record is 9-9,and I I think Varelans best advantage was always his strength and size, and considering he's older now and his last fight was like in 1998 or something,he's probably retired and doing something else for a living.

A guy like Varelans deserves some respect though for being an original, and for his time was a true badass. While fighting for the IFC in the Ukraine Bas Rutten got drunk and knocked him through a window!
Always thought that was halarious.

Paul had very little skill and his size is what gave him most of his wins, IMO. If you watch his fight with Igor you can see how even a small, skilled fighter could take him out with ease.

Considering how he looked when he fought Igor, probably really fat.
