Ok I'm starting to get a diet plan going and have already started running today, and I'm starting my diet plan tomorrow now, I have a question you know how they say drink 8-10 glasses of water each day, well I bought these 1L bottles of water, and I was wondering what the equilvenent is, I was thinking 2 but not sure. Also if I'm dieting would it help if I were to take diet pills, while on my strictly veggie and fruits diet? Any help is appreciated.

Generally the figures I've seen are 8-10 8oz. glasses of water. That would mean roughly 64-80 ounces. So we'll go with 70 oz. Which is basically 2 litres.

1 fl oz = .03 litres.

70 x .03= 2.1

Although if you're running around and sweating a lot you may want to up the intake.

Edit: As for dieting pills- I don't PERSONALLY see them as a necessity. You could take all the dieting pills in the world, but you'd just be putting more crap in your body and you'd still get better results from just eating right and exercising often.

I'm no doctor, though.

I will share some of my stuff on water. You wil know some stuff, and you will be suprised about some sutf...
(now i know alot on water but im only going to be reasonable)
Health benefits of water
Water is your body's principal chemical component, comprising, on average, 60 percent of your weight. Every system in your body depends on water. For example, water flushes toxins out of vital organs, carries nutrients to your cells and provides a moist environment for ear, nose and throat tissues.

How much water do you need?
Every day you lose water through your breath, perspiration, urine and bowel movements. For your body to function properly, you must replenish its water supply by consuming beverages and foods that contain water.
A couple of approaches attempt to approximate water needs for the average, healthy adult living in a temperate climate.

Factors that influence water needs
You may need to modify your total fluid intake depending on how active you are, the climate you live in, and your health status.

Exercise. The more you exercise, the more fluid you'll need to keep your body hydrated. An extra 1 or 2 cups of water should suffice for short bouts of exercise, but intense exercise lasting more than an hour (for example, running a marathon) requires additional fluid. How much additional fluid is needed depends on how much you sweat during the exercise, but 13 to26 ounces (or about 2 to 3 cups) an hour will generally be adequate, unless the weather is exceptionally warm.

During long bouts of intense exercise, it's best to use a sports drink that contains sodium, as this will help replace sodium lost in sweat and reduce the chances of developing hyponatremia, which can be life-threatening. Fluid also should be replaced after exercise. Drinking 16 ounces of fluid per pound of body weight lost during exercise is recommended.

Environment. Hot or humid weather can make you sweat and requires additional intake of fluid. Heated indoor air also can cause your skin to lose moisture during wintertime. Further, altitudes greater than 2,500 meters (8,200 feet) may trigger increased urination and more rapid breathing, which use up more of your fluid reserves.

IMO i drink atleast 1 gallon of water a day.
I explained the most important facts on water.
Also when your feeling good, and you consumed water most of the day, your muscles are big grapes. Now if you do not consume enough water, they will shrink into raisins. Believe it or not thats a true fact. DRINK WATER

And to tell you the truth i do not no that much on dieting pills. But on my experience i would no take them. I posted a huge post in your other thread on weight lost. All that you need to do is eat the right stuff, and exercise.

do what the above poster says, and druits & veggies diet isn't exactly the most healthy either. you need to have a sufficient source of protein and iron, etc etc. incorporate lean cuts of chicken into your diet.
