It's not a bad risk since it's double points.
He easily hits as hard as Werdum and GG folded after taking a couple shots.
This is not as much of a one-side fight on paper as people might think.

Gabes a monster, i mean, yeah he lost two fights in a row, but they where to 2 of the top 10 heavy weights in the world!! I think he hurt himself during the werdum fight after a misplaced leg kick, thats when he started to fold. People who say he gets hit and folds are wrong, he got beat to shit by randy in their fight and kept going till get got his nose smashed. Even taking a fight with Mirko tells me hes not that afraid of getting clocked.
That said, i dont like gabe, and i wouldnt mind if Justin beat him, but to write him off becouse he got beat by Werdum and Randy is insane. Theirs no denying the man has some serious ground skills and big power standing.

call me crazy, but i think Gonzaga is the most talented HW in the UFC, if he had good cardio/heart, IMO i dont think anybody in teh UFC could touch him, not even Big Nog.
Crazy
beat me too it.
YOU SIR, ARE CRAZY!

should have seen that coming

I agree. and I wasn't saying that Gabe shouldn't be the favorite. I was simply saying that consider the underdog bonus, it's not a bad risk.

no doubt, Gonzaga isnt anything special.
Im going with the Insane One just for the fact he is solid at the takedowns. And that Gonzaga aint quick to avoid them.
Justin by lAY and pray.

McCully is going to get destroyed. His style is almost exactly like Tito Ortiz's with the exception of the cardio and superior strenth that Tito has. I'm thinking it's going to make the CroCop fight look pleasant and I'm smelling broken bone(s).
Dont mistake his lack of aggression in the Werdum fight for anything other than GG was being careful with a guy he had fought before and knew how skilled he was. I think we all know he's capable of more/better than that. What I don't get is that the guy has 1 "off" fight and you all question his heart?! Do you forget the Couture fight where he had a smashed face for the entire fight and still broke Randy's arm and put on a hell of a performance. You werent questioning his heart then?
I think GG is one of the best HW's in the sport, he just needs to be able to shocase himeself. I think that after he ruins McCully he'll be back on track mentally and we'll see more and better things from him.
I'm calling this now. McCully will not leave the ring on his own. He will be helped/carried out.
WAR GONZAGA!

For those who saw McCully vs. Hardonk, you will know that McCully has some of the worst sub defense ever. Gonzaga by hellish armbar in round 1.
